According to both Marvel and the Copyright Office, they were both published on the same date: Pub. 1987-06-11;
This is not lightly stated - the signature on the forms filed state they are accurate.

Does your research include the US Copyright Office database? Worth a check if you haven't done so already.

Congrats - my guess they either didn't see or agree with the no-fault policy.

I have never had anything graded, and don’t know what I don’t know. My collection has been sitting in a storeroom for 30 years, curious what people think of this Thor #337, never read, probably never opened before I took one of these pictures.
This looks like a great candidate to send in to CGC . . . as long as you can put up with the wait time - Nize copy!

.5 but hey, you still have a copy.

Got a handful of SA Flash issues (non-keys) at an antique store over the weekend. They look to me to be in the 4.0-5.0 range under normal conditions, but they all also have 3-hole punches along the spine (kept in a 3-ring binder at some point). My question is to what degree do these kinds of holes affect the grades of books like these? And does CGC give a blue label at a lower grade, or is this the kind of thing where they would give a green Qualified label in the 4.0-5.0 range? Thanks!
Edit: not really looking for any specific grade on any specific book; just a general question on to what degree these kinds of holes affect a grade on any given book?
Nice find! Don't really care personally what CGC would think about them.

7.5 OW to W; The light dirt on the edges of the BC will come off with a white gum eraser. Assuming you don't know that, Pentel makes a nice pencil-sized one, that one can easily manage a very light cleaning with a little practice. Practice cleaning a book that has very little meaning to you first. You may even bring it up to a solid 8.0, although the light corner wear and creases might limit it at 7.5.
* Even though the dirt shouldn't affect the grade, you'll appreciate the difference.

Put me in coach. My fastball is gone, but I try my best.
Fastballs are like ice cream . . . everybody wants one!

I agree, as are these. Advance notices are often "wish" dates. They are all just marketing a product in which they all have a pecuniary interest $ (No offense to Mike) Who happens to list all of his sources (to his credit) although his conclusion, however implied, may also be erroneous.
