  1. I agree. It’s hard to believe there’s only 61 copies on the census for such a big key.
  2. I remember bidding on that one thinking I’d be easily able to get it for under 10k due to the condition. I can’t help but think the limited supply of 7, 10, and 13 allows their value to be somewhat controlled, or monopolized similar to Tec 29, 31, and 33.
  3. From episode 36, wouldn’t a contender of highest marvel piece of art be the Captain Amrica Comics #1 cover from the golden age?
  4. I only have the 13, but it’s my favorite art of the 3. It’s iconic the same way tec 31 is. Mine with some appropriate music.
  5. Cool post and haven’t read it all yet, but to me (mostly a low-mid grade goldenage collector), FMV is whatever the price is that moves the book within 1 week for books <1,000 2 weeks for 1k+ but <5k and 1 month for 5k+ books. If they take longer than the said amounts they’re probably priced too high. Just my
  6. No, it doesn’t work. The “entry level” grades 0.5-2.0 of mega keys are arguably the most competitive, so those prices per point don’t translate as the grade goes higher.
  7. When did the Cap 1 vs Batman 1 thing start? It seems to have been going on strong for at least 4 or so years at least.
  8. Thanks for this, it’s great you can still have some fun talking about the books after the fact. I think some of the early Everetts went somewhat cheap for the rarity.
  9. I added #5 of my Timely Comics "Timely Tuesdays" youtube video series today. Keep in mind I'm only but a Noob Timely collectors compared to you guys, so I'm sure I make some mistakes with the sacred knowledge. Please comment here or on the video because Timely discussion is what I love most. link: knights_of_old youtube videos I also do other golden age history comic vids like this one: https://youtu.be/sHUSYZ_cqMc
  10. Get them graded yourself or you’ll be lucky to get half the value.
  11. Great work finding all that info. Very cool Lovecraft connection.
  12. Almost 10 years since you posted this Roy. How many times has the book changed hands? Or do you still have it? Regardless, thanks for posting the pics.
  13. I recently finished off my GS1,94-143 run and paid a lot more than I wanted to even for readers, average of $10-$20 for mid grades. I grew up in the 80’s so to me they’re quite common, but the more I thought about new comics costing $4-$5 now, $15-$20 for one of those awesome classics is totally fair.
  14. I’m looking for pictures and/or info on some marvel 3-packs I got as a child. I’d like to know what issues were paired together and if I missed any. Any info would be so great!!! Thank you. These I know I got from 3 packs but would love to know which were packed with which, and if I’m forgetting any.: These I’m not sure if they were from 3 packs... Thanks again!!
  15. Maybe it’s possible the unrestorer removed the reinforcement perfectly? Maybe the rice paper fell off and a tiny amount of glue could be removed? Someone crack it out and inspect!!!
