Doesn't this kind of statement just take away the incentive for the current offerer to ever bother changing his offer up? I don't see how this could be good for the betterment of the thread in the long run. Just a lot of stalled offers while people wait 48 hours to see if they can get away with the bare minumum.

Isn't that cutting it close to the 3 day limit? I'm not sure I'd want to take that risk myself.

This is a very cool gesture. I think it's a good sign for the thread that people aren't taking items just to take them. I think the free book is very cool but because its not something I collect I want to leave it available for someone who will truly appreciate it. Looks like others are doing the same. Definitely a good sign for the thread that its not devolving. +1 Yeah I saw that offer and thought it was so generous but even though I've not taken anything yet... I figure there's going to be someone who sees this book and is thrilled... which is what would make the giver the happiest. So I'll wait for the free Amazing Fantasy 15, which I assume will be coming shortly. :-) If an AF15 is offered before my 30 days are up, I will punch Harvey in the throat.

Sadly, you're right. I figured making sure to include DATES next to a claim in the second post would make this a little simple to figure out. Example: "07/04: Jiminy_Cricket (HarveySwick)" Cricket would know that he can't claim anything until 08/04. Should we determine now... In the above example, "Does a rolling month mean 08/04 or 08/05?" i'm tto skared to evah partisipate agin. i dont reed so good and all theze rulz be makin my head hurt an stuff.

I pity the poor soul (Harvey) who is keeping track of all this.

Duck, this forum has the most picky collectors in the world. Every modern under a 9.8 is not worthy to many here. If you don't have a scanner, try taking individual pictures where everyone can see the spine/edges. Use at least 6 megapixels and don't get so close that the pictures come out blurry. Angle the camera so that the camera flash doesn't put a glare on the comic. Make sure the comics are not directly under a ceiling light to avoid further glare. I'll put a couple examples in a spoiler for you so people don't get confused. Do the same with the back covers.

If it does get vetoed, it will happen long before 5pm. Probably in the morning when people wake up. So you still have time to avoid a strike. Big Daddy's offer was vetoed not long after he made his offer, if I'm not mistaken. I hope you take this as helpful advice and not as a negative.
