  1. You and me both my friend. It’s been my avatar since my first day on here, 12 or 13 or whatever years ago, and there it is. It’s all about Respecting the obvious stuff.
  2. Your tried to be more clear and you have come up short. Again. Its so plainly obvious why CGC is acting in the manner it is at the moment, and why they acted in the manner they did in 2022 related to this issue. You keep pointing out that a lawsuit was filed yesterday, and that's super fantastic; I get that fact impresses you, and you were even able to find it on the internet. Big win for you no doubt. What I have made very clear is that this lawsuit is the result of CGC not being able to be successful with Plan A (working it out privately), so filing a lawsuit (YESTERDAY) was a necessary evil: someone in house spilled the beans, so it had to be done for no other reason than to be able to say you did in the next lawsuit. And you are not even close to derailing this thread; let's be real here, you haven't hit anything close to the bullseye yet with your comments. But do yourself a favor and don't respond to this post, it will just be another swing and a miss. In fact, do yourself a bigger favor and put me on ignore, I'll get by...somehow...someway.
  3. Yep, its absolutely just you. Instead of using google like you are trying to figure out who Taylor Swift is dating, why don't you try using PACER, which is what we use to do actual research into these matters, and what I used to figure out how this matter actually made it to a federal court, and what is going to happen next, and then what is going to happen after that. Google that, and if you need my credentials to log in, let me know. In the meantime, please understand that if this investigation has been going on since 2022, the only reason - and I mean the singular reason - that this is news is because someone found out about it and it could no longer be contained in-house and managed without legal recourse. Ask yourself this: Is a company with revenues of what, 70 million a year, really going to hire lawyers and file a lawsuit to chase down 27 grand from two people that probably don't have a pot to in or a window to throw it out of? No, of course not. The legal fees alone will be double that by the time you start discovery. Half of nothing is nothing Stefan W. So you see, the reason CGC is doing this is because they no what comes next, and they want to be able to mitigate everything to be able to argue that fact when it comes time to deal with damages in the real case - the case they will have to defend - when the claims start piling up, which I have already commented on in this thread. And finally, part of the reason the only thing you are running is a lap around the living room to the fridge and back, and not CGC or a paper route for that matter, is because you can't see the forest through the trees on this one. And that's okay, other folks are able to do just that.
  4. Interesting to see how quick some members give CGC a pass over and over and over again, instead of letting the members know that this was going on months ago. CGC didnt discover this horrific act on Monday and file the lawsuit on Tuesday bro.
  5. You show me one person that can demonstrate damages as a result of buying a fake-slabbed book for more than a buck, and I'll show you a bunch of complex litigation attorneys putting together a class action Petition against CGC chock full of claims related to implied warranty and lack of good faith performance causes of action. CGC is going to get the brakes sued off of them.
  6. I will never quit buying Turner stuff. He is the only comic book creator I have ever had a drink with, and I think about that 30 minutes all the time, like it happened yesterday: where we sat, what he drank, hell what game was on the TV behind the bar. Before CGC, but smack dab in the middle of that era that defined comics at the time. As regular as anyone you've ever sat down and had a drink with. And I hear you man, there is nothing better than going to a show and finding a bunch of Turner stuff, Campbell stuff, Lady Death Chrome #1s, 90s stuff etc in the $2 boxes and KNOWING I hit the jackpot WE EXIST AND WE VOTE WITH OUR DOLLARS
  7. Its a ridiculous comic book I bought with the AH signature for a song with some other stuff, so why not go full goofball and get JSC on it as well.
  8. I get it that every fourth post in this thread is yours, but there are more interesting - and way more plausible - ways to bring a thread forward that is back on page 6 or seven, or whatever. 😂😂😂
  9. Got it today. Complete compostable_fertilizer.
  10. Thank you for your response, and I have, and that actually got me thinking about the stories that were behind the squib descriptions on that site. I realize that the stories behind the pedigrees may not be an accessible -let alone a writable- topic, as these stories might have died with the folks that knew them.
  11. I have searched the boards, I have googled this thoroughly. Is anyone aware of a book that discusses the history of the various pedigree collections? It seems the closest thing out there that I can find are the entries on Chucks mile high site, which are a fine read, but it’s limited and more just him patting himself on the back. Anyone have any ideas out there?
