  1. Is the book for sale white pages or Off-White to White? "WP" beside the price.
  2. If you are ebay user comics4less, please PM me, thank you!
  3. I was hoping the lighting would be better in the hall this year, but it was the same as the other room. One guy thought for some reason I was photographing his book for sale when I had out my flashlight app on the phone to look at spine creasing, but a quick explanation took care of that.
  4. How about "I look at this data and continue to :spoon: myself when I realize the sales value of my collection is 12x-15x more that what it was a mere couple of years ago."
  5. You can’t but you have the legit eBay sale reports, so everyone is good where they are at the moment. I’ll let you know on the next thing though, stay loose.
  6. Though the market realized for these books is trending up, in no way in anyone's wildest imagination are these "keys in short supply."
  7. Word to the wise: the Sunday of the Con is a Ravens game, and its the Bengals, so you are talking about alot of fans of both teams making a weekend of it. If you are going to book a room, do it sooner than later. I just go Friday, but Saturday will certainly get some extra folks due to the home game weekend; same with restaurants and all of the other harbor stuff.
  8. Well, to add to the list, these boards...based on the number of "wow I guess I should not have sold my perfect 9.8 copy [insert years] ago because its so hot now" posts, there is some consistent data setting forth the importance some boardies see in making sure other boardies know what comic books they used to own.
  9. Thats a lot of speculation on your part, and I can't make a connection between random 1st appearance books being sold at inflated prices and comic book shops going out of business, as comic book shops are staying in business selling new releases as the majority of their income, but again, I am okay with all of that. If you havent spent the last 2-3 years (or 8-10 years) chasing down the good stuff to stash away, at this point, I wouldnt start. And if anyone wants to start, I'll be the first to sell those books to them.
  10. So what? I can live with those results, I'd imagine a bunch of folks on here could do so as well.
  11. You are already paying a fortune, compared to 18 months ago. Do you want to pay less of a fortune or more of a fortune?
  12. Last night on Clink: Daredevil 168 9.8 white pages = 4600 EDIT: this was a direct edition ASM 238 9.8 white pages = 3850 EDIT: Newsstand (Direct 9.8 white = 3150) Those bronze/copper keys that were always around for not cheap but not expensive, that ship has sailed. EDIT: More Fun: UXM 141 9.8 white direct = 1600 UXM 129 9.8 white newsstand - 8303 Oof. Xmen 107 9.8 white = 7211 Wolvie Limited 1 9.8 white newsstand = 1005 TOD 13 9.6 white (Suscha News) = 1988 This was probably the shocker for me, though its a pedigree, there are only 48 9.6s and 22 9.8s out there) Ghost Rider 1 9.6 white = 7073 Marvel Super Special 16 9.8 white (Boba Fett) = 5200
  13. If you really want to feel good about life, do a 5/10/15 year price paid vs. current GPA values comparison on your collection. Then factor in books that if you sold it, you’d never get another shot to buy it back, and sit back and enjoy it.
  14. But the goalpost has been moved back, and I don't think its lining back up, ever. Last nights Clink: MTU 141 = 700 SW 8 = 600 and 700 Marvel Age 90 = 659 IH 340 = 1500 GI Joe 21 3400 DD 181 = 375 Captain America 241 = 850 All these books are 9.8s and direct editions.
  15. So what is "normal" when "the market does get back to normal" mean? Your words, not mine. Enlighten us.
  16. Some of us don’t need to wait to figure out the answer. Be sure to post pictures of all the Books you pick up in a year for 2019 prices.
