I just bought a comic on their exchange, I should have messaged them to not put a sticker on it when they receive it from the seller(or do they not do it to exchange books? I can't remember)

Some would debate if a pre-release distributors copy is actually a first print since it's not widely distributed.
The way I heard it was that the first printing was a very small run, and ended up being way more successful than they imagined it would be, and sold out very fast, and because of that they did a much larger second printing with the cheaper cover paper.
High times is one of those mags where there is no one source to go to for facts about them, and values of individual issues, and as a result you hear all kinds of different stuff about them, and the prices are all over the place.

I edited my comments as they were abrasive. Sorry for the confusion.
Peace,
Chip
Great Fridays are built on abrasive comments, wish I could have seen them.

I bought from him a few times.
I pay no attention to his grades, and instead scrutinize the heck out of the scans.
Never had a problem with him.

Nice Vaillant!
FF 13 is at the top of my upgrade list.
There's a nice copy on Ebay now for less than 300, but it has marvel chipping

I just came back from seeing it too! I loved it!
The fiery mutant is Sunspot. As far as your other question, I don't know who that mutant was in the tent...or the one with the spikes and the black eyes for that matter.
Here's my dumb question...if Quicksilver puts on the headphones and listens to music as he's running in his big scene, wouldn't he hear less than a second of music? Presumably, he could have a sped up version of his songs, but what format was it on, anyway? It was 1973. Those headphones looked pretty advanced for the time, too.
Nitpicks aside, I thought is was great!
HAHAHA
I thought the exact same thing.
I then thought that maybe he's not listening to music at all, and the headphones are to keeps his ears from popping at high rates of speed, just like the goggles would keeps his eyes from drying out(think high speeds on a motorcycle without glasses)
I've been reading up on his powers since I wasn't super familiar with him, and it's fascinating to think about.
The thing that gets me is that not only can he move that fast, but he also thinks that fast, so that slow-mo appearance of the kitchen is how things appear to him at all times, and it's said that's why he's so irritable, because he's always waiting for the rest of the world to catch up with him.

Congrats!
I see ads for estate sales, and I think, I'm totally going to that, and then I never do.
I really need to start checking these things out.

Yesterday I got in a trade this poster, which originally came with the italian Fantastic Four #50 from the early 1970s – I would not normally have bought it, as it goes for about $90-100 in nice shape, but in the trade I was happy to finally have it as I love it (I also love the fact they did not translated the dedication at the bottom and left it in english).
This is a generic picture, it came folded in four, as it was polybagged with the comic, and it’s large, but it‘s just to show you how it looks.
That's great!
I'd love to have that!

Excited to snag this

I work with naked girls 5 nights a week.
Just another reason to like you
Wolverine's naked butt seemed unnecessary. Which is what the discussion is.I kinda thought it had to do with establishing the time he was in - the early '70s - free love and all that - there was a chick asleep next to him, wasn't there? Or am I misremembering.
I can see that. Just sayin', they could've probably got the message across with 'implied' nudity.
The F word was fitting with wolverines character at the time, and Prof X's use also fit.
The naked Butt was there as a selling point for talking your girlfriend or wife into seeing it with you.

Just back from seeing it
Loved it!
Not sure what is my favorite part
Quicksilvers scenes, which have to be some of the best, if not thee best, superhero actions scenes I've ever witnessed.
Or getting to see iceman get killed not once, but twice.
Mystique was more crippled by that wound to the leg than I would have thought.
Considering how she jumps around during fights, she should have been able to hop away on one leg like a kangaroo.

Why do you keep repeating this over and over?In no way am I telling people that they're wrong about their opinions - but I am challenging whether most of them truly formed them on their own, as opposed to repeating what the person next to them said in mob mentality - which it's pretty clear this thread devolved to rather quickly.I looked at his(liefeld) work with my own eyes, and with my own brain I reached the conclusion that it sucks.
Same as most people here did.

Young Danny DeVito was a natural wolverine.
he would have been great in the part

place your bets now.
I'm saying 320K for a final sale price

I envision another scenario where The CGC purchases the JIM, attaches a thin chain to the top two corners, then uses it as an in-house dunce cap by making any employee who up wear it around his or her neck for the day.
Attach it to the restroom key like they do at gas stations.
The gas station by my house as a kid had their bathroom key attached to an old car rim.
They said they were sick of it getting lost, or people forgetting to return it.

Hey all!
Just picked up a couple Maggie Thompson books from Heritage and thought I'd share them with y'all:
FF 17
FF Annual 1
Thanks for looking!
Dan
I've seen sooooooo many beat up copies of these books.
It's nice to see a couple that look brand new
Congrats on the pickup!

The mods did the wise thing in locking his sales threads (not delete them), and posting the heads up what is going on.
Now hopefully people can remain calm, and not carpet bomb his Facebook or other sites he may frequent. You are still dealing with a 12 yo boy.
"Don't do the crime, if you can't do the time"
Exactly
How are you supposed to learn from your mistakes if there are no consequences?
What is supposed to teach you to not do it again?
Your parents?
If they even care, apparently this kids dad is proud of his dealings and brags about them on facebook, or so I'm told since no one will put up a link to it.
I want a vid of this kid getting the bejesus spanked out of him, and then a pic of him sitting grounded in his empty room with only bare wires sticking out from the walls where his Xbox, TV, and computer used to be.
I can't believe the lynch mob here is willing to settle for anything less, 12 or not.

Here's a pencil drawing of Stan Lee I just finished....thanks for looking!
When I looked at just the drawing, my first thought was, why did you draw him with those giant bags under his eyes?
??
Then I saw the photo you were modeling it from and thought, Oh
Nice work!

Got a great deal on some great books.
Outstanding communication.
Everything arrived in great condition thanks to the excellent packaging.
Received some nice freebies too
Thanks!

I only had time to read the first 5 pages or so of the Hustruck drama, so I don't know how it ended.
I think his actions are a clear case of Post traumatic stress disorder.
You have to remember he was brutally raped by a comic store owner not to long ago, it takes a while to recover mentally from that sort of thing.
Comiclink - lose the stickers PLEASE! (You Too METROPOLIS!)

I wonder how much of the scans shown is dependent on what the seller gives them to use?
In the case of the book I bought, it had huge front and back cover scans, and a nice pre cgc scan of the interior pages before grading.
But I agree about updating their website, that will never happen.
