Unfortunately I think this is probably the most likely scenario for the book, but it does seem like a pretty big gamble at the price paid.

I think there is pent up demand for affordable copies of this book(especially ones that present well). IIRC there were 4 different bidders who placed a bid of $3k+ on the book(including me.) That being said if I was willing to spend $5k on this book I would probably be more patient and try to pick up an blue label around the same grade for a little more.

I thought I had a chance at the book but I guess I was wrong. I thought a FMV was in the $3.6-4k range(and I was willing to pay that), When it made that jump at the end to $5k I was blown away.

-slym Is this serious? Someone on the CPG forums was claiming a DC source has told them that Livewire is going to be responsible for a major death this year. So it's all happening on the Livewire front! Rumor has it that Marvel will be borrowing Livewire for one month and she is going to be Wolverine's killer! I can confirm this. I was debating starting this rumor as well.

Well, now I know who I was going back and forth with. I figured a few Flash collectors from the forums would pick up some of those books.

Aint that the truth, almost zero demand for most of the BA books, you almost have to give them away even at solid grades. Great for collectors though. I have a pretty darn good higher grade Action and Superman BA run I have put together just because it is so cheap to do so.

I just started an Amazon Prime trial and have no idea why I didn't try it sooner. Seasons 1-4 of Batman animated adventures here I come!

Yup, I buy them whenever I find them cheap and just horde them. I know I have a bunch of copies of #25 but I just went to look for them and I have no idea where they are.

I might be wrong, but I think that is how it shows when you start as an auction but also list a BIN price. IE .99 start $2500 BIN and someone was quick enough to buy it before any bids fell.

Finally caught up and watched the finally. It was good but probably not quite as amazing as I thought it would be. I am very glad they kept Slade alive, too good of a role to kill off. I am assuming he is going to end up in the suicide squad next season as he will be too good of an asset for Waller to let rot, and this will Ollie off.

When I was growing up in the 80's I had a lot of toy lines I liked, but my favorite single toy was probably the Kenner ED-209. I still have that one, but when I saw NECA had finally made a new one I had to have it. Just got it and I figure there is at least 1 other person on the site who might be interested in it so I thought I would give it a quick review. It has nice packaging is an okay size and good detail, but the quality of the piece is simply not there for a $70 piece. Cheap plastic and several minor flaws in the paint and my piece had one slight damaged area where a cord that attaches to the back of his gun was broken. If you must have an ED-209 it is a heck of a lot cheaper than the Hot Toys one and it looks cool as hell, but with a $70 price you are going to feel like you got ripped off. As much as I like the toy I do.

Just part of my personal collecting preferences I guess, but that label/damage is not a "deal killer" to me like it is to some.

Really, for an incomplete book? What would you pay then? I'm not sure to be honest, I can;t see what the third word is in the description is(I think it says torn) and I would want to know what the actual damage to the book is if possible. C/OW is a bit of a detractor as well. It is a tough book to price but I would probably be comfortable buying the book in the $1k range give or take.

What is the third word in the notes? I can't make it out. Did you see the damage to it?

It will be interesting to see how high of a run ASM 300 can make. I think it is somewhat of an indicator of the copper market as a whole and if it can make a run from current prices I think that speaks well to the other bigger copper keys.

I wouldn't be at all surprised to see that happen in a flash back in one of the next episodes. He probably took the drug to stop Slade and then cured himself, but there is some side effects that didn't go away.

Last weeks episode was basically to explain what was going on with Slade through what happened to Roy; Roy hallucinating and seeing Thea telling him to kill him and his just brutally murdering people. It's the drug, it makes you absolutely crazy. Another interesting thing is at times we have seen Ollie hallucinate and perform what look to be super human maneuvers. I wonder if that means at some point he has come in contact with the drug already.

Also of note is this book has very recently started to trend upwards, so it may be better to pick up a copy sooner rather than later.

Especially when you do the math and realize that the child is already 6. It looks like a lot of Season 3 is going to be heading to Central City.

I finally got to watch it(after I gave a lashing to DIRECTV, had my satellite adjusted, some wires replaced and this month comped.) Insane episode. They could go so many directions from here. It's pretty cool watching a TV show and have no idea what's coming. I am really curious to see how Deathstroke plays out. After watching what happened to Roy one could argue that Slade is not really responsible for the things he has done since he was injected with Mirakuru. It literally makes you go crazy.
