  1. TT44 9.8 ended last night @ $330. It looks like the same guy won them both. I wanted the newsstand version bad but my max on it I decided earlier was $310 http://www.ebay.com/itm/261366146902?ssPageName=STRK:MEDWX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1435.l2649 http://www.ebay.com/itm/TALES-OF-THE-TEEN-TITANS-44-CGC-9-8-WHITE-PAGES-1ST-NIGHTWING-/400641103184?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item5d48121550
  2. I finally watched all of season two and :pull hair: that I didn't start to watch the show sooner. Should I get season 1 and watch it?
  3. I was browsing through some of my boxes and found an issue that I think has some long term possibilities that I don't think has been mentioned here. What does everyone think of Sword of Azrael #1?
  4. Looks like UXM #221 is starting to trend up for sure. I check the book every few months and this is the highest average sale I can remember seeing recently.
  5. Just read #17. It is so great to read a story that you have no idea where it is going, but never fails to disappoint.
  6. I just read the whole thread and (thumbs u To be honest I see my collecting following a very similar path as yours and fully expect to fall into the pit of becoming a GA DC collector. (I try to stay out of this section as much as possible for fear of being sucked in.) I already shun most post 1965 except for the few runs I collect and a couple of books I like, and At this point most of my big books I want are the earliest of the DC SA keys. I can't wait to watch the journey unfold.
  7. I think 2014 is really going to be the year of the CA. My hunch is we will see at least 10-20+ copper books selling in the $50 + range raw high grade and at least 10-20+ 9.8 books movie into the 400-500+ dollar range.
  8. This is going to be fun X:men apocalypse #1 trending on yahoo right now. I listed a decent looking X-Factor #5 at around 7 for $15 and it sold 20 minutes ago.
  9. I sold a couple books to Steve a few weeks ago. It was a wham bam thank you ma'am transaction. Could not have been easier.
  10. IIRC Twisted Metal #2 was the one that was by far the best correct? I know I put insane hours played on one of them.
  11. I know I at least remember that advertisement for it because I was getting the mag at the time and was a huge twisted metal fan.
  12. Well, I updated my V1 run and I am very close. My V1 run is almost complete. All I need is a #4 2nd print, #6 first and second print, 11, 13, 59, 60 and then I go on the quest for #1 and #2 first prints.
  13. I am embarrassing lacking in knowledge about pretty much any GA that is not Batman or Tec. I picked this up recently JIM 5. Grade? Scarcity? FMV? Do you like egg nog?
  14. I wanted a laugh, so I just looked at the census. Not exactly rare in higher grades. Neither is Hulk #181. What's your point? Wolverine is a slightly more popular character than Iron Fist, but who knows, maybe he will launch into stardom and kids will dress up like him for Halloween next year. All I know right now is that the supply is not meeting the demand and thus the prices are increasing. So is the amount of auction watchers and bid activity. This makes me think there's really demand but why I don't know. I think someone said something about a TV series? Did I read that somewhere or am I making that up? No, I doubt kids will dress up as him for Halloween but I don't think kids are buying these books at $500 a pop for 9.2's And just a side note, I'm not taking offense, just stating my opinion. Sometimes text makes it hard to understand the tone of the conversation. (thumbs u No offense taken (thumbs u . I actually read it as a normal conversation. There is clearly huge demand for the book right now. I think it is the Netflix series for defenders but it is not the real defenders? Right now there are several very common bronze books with skyrocketing market prices, and I think for the vast majority of them the person caught holding the bag is going to be very unhappy.

  17. Very easy. I think it is to newer collectors who don't fully understand grades/just want the book. Best case in point was Batman #386. Lots of people were buying it because of the video game. VG/F copies would sell for about half of NM copies in some cases.
  18. I would think because the book is rare in low grade? Virtually every one of those got bagged and boarded the day it got home from the shop. I don't think I have ever seen less than a 9.0 in person. it's a PITA selling $3 comics on ebay, that's why. go to a show, rummage through $1-$2 boxes and you will find reader copies of books like these. i passed on a beater GI Joe 21 last year out of my LCS...came back the next day to pick it up after I told myself it was a mistake to pass on it and it was gone. And don't kid yourself, there are plenty of 7-8.0 copies on ebay being sold as NM copies. Weird, I have never found a X-Men 266 in a bargain bin in my life, and I have looked through quite a few long boxes of them.
  19. I *think* this book may be ready to explode soon. I sold a 9.6 for $120 shipped and a raw VF for $35 shipped last week. Based on Superman Batman film rumors or his death rumors? I base this more on Nightwing being a popular character and Grayson being a very important part of the Batman mythos. Also the cover makes it somewhat harder on average to find a 9.8 compared to most other coppers.

  22. I would go if it was close and you can be one of the first people there.
