  1. Yes and yes. I really wish DCP #26 didn't have that NTT preview in it and the first appearance would of ended up being NTT #1. I bet it would go for a lot more the DCP 26 does if it did.
  2. My most recent edition: Captain Boomerang is one of my biggest guilty pleasure rogues. He is a complete doofus, and someone that throws boomerangs doesn't seem like he would be much of a threat the the Flash, but for some reason I think the character is cool.
  3. She could sure as hell play harley. I can't wait for this episode (but I feel like that for almost every episode so it's not saying much.)
  4. I think it may be an easter egg, I wouldn't be surprised if Diggle is walking by the cell, asks who that is and Waller tells him it is one of the Joker's Crew that was causing trouble for Batman in Gotham. So many Batman villains/tie ins have been on the show at this point he has to pop up in conversation eventually.
  5. They without a doubt took a no bs dark take in tonights episode. Hopefully they continue among these lines. Also, who was it that took out Diggle? It was quick but he appeared to have Armor on. I'm thinking some incarnation of Ravager.
  6. Yes he did. And that sure as hell looked like Harley. Awesome episode with zero drama/romance drivel. I love this buildup to the showdown coming.
  7. The color is perfect. A brighter red would of looked foolish and darker would not have looked like the flash.
  8. I don't think so... at least from me. The way I see it is that I recognize that Turtles 1 is a key book and a 9.6 is probably rarer than AF15 in the 4.0. However, while I recognize and appreciate what it is and what it means, it is not within my collecting focus. It doesn't mean I think it sucks. It means that while I like both, I like one a bit more than the other. Perhaps that it what others are trying to articulate. None from you at all. (thumbs u We all have different tastes and that is a good thing. I am the exact opposite of you. While I can appreciate AF15 and say it is one of the most important books in the hobby, TMNT1 is a much bigger part of my collecting focus and the book I would take from the two.
  9. An awful lot of what I collect rules and what you collect sucks in this thread.
  10. The demand side of that equation would be even more one sided to AF 15. The supply side too. Things that are scarce or in short supply tend to be affected more by small changes in demand. A little demand could propel the TMNT a lot higher, while a little demand for the AF15 will hardly push prices higher in my opinion. This is the basic principle in price elasticity of demand. There are 2087 total AF15 in the census. 494 total for the TMNT. Even better stat I think. 2087 AF15 on census 3000 TMNT1 that have ever existed.
  11. I would say it was equal since they both ended up getting a book they liked more. Technically AF15 if you are going by current market. If it was my money I would take the TMNT no contest.
  12. I'm not entirely sure if it was a transformation of the industry as much as it was a transformation of the marketplace - on this I agree with you 100%. I think the industry lagged behind until mid-2001 - there's a long period of just drek where sales were in the toilet from the late 1990s. Amazing having a print run of under 20,000, things like that. Yeah, I agree with that distinction. Consumers reacting instantly, while publishers and retailers were a lot slower on the uptake. I would put the "Modern Age" starting with Amazing Spider-Man 30, Fantastic Four 60, some of the other reboots that started right around then. Maybe Daredevil 1? There's a completely different feel from Amazing 25 to Amazing 30, for example. Call the period 1993-2000 the "Dark Age", something like that. Terrible art, terrible stories, no sales, etc. etc. etc. I definitely think the era of 1993-XXXX does need a negative connotation to it. I see the turning points of Mid ASM V2, USM #1. Loeb/Lee Batman run as big turning points where stories and art got good again.
  13. I think the raffle/mystery box stuff is fine as long as there is full disclosure. If the buyer knows what they are getting into then the onus is on them. That being said any of these without full disclosure should not be allowed and shut down/seller tarred and feathered. I see it as a scam.
  14. I don't think any version of that book would make a very good investment.
  15. Great looking book, I am very jealous. I am going to have to work on picking one of these up sooner rather than later.
  16. This book is essentially a mega key in the Batman mythos. Some day I will write up a lengthy post about how important this book is. It also isn't hurting it any that is the origin of Deathstroke. Finally the black cover does make it tougher than average to find in very high grade compared to many other CA books. (Only 50 or so new 9.8 have popped up on the census since it became a hot book mid 2013.) And continues to climb. Direct edition 9.8s are now $400 a pop With no BINs available to hold the bidding back I would not be surprised to see the copies up now break $500. I Just won the last 9.8 on ebay The bidding stalled at $410 I have no clue what kind it is the barcode is cut off in the pic. All I know is it's a 9.8 WP copy and thats what I wanted. I paid more than I would have liked but its a book I can cross off my list http://www.ebay.com/itm/Tales-of-the-Teen-Titans-44-CGC-9-8-comic-wp-/281270196121?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item417d029799 Thats the only other 9.8 still has 3days and already at $400 Congrats on the book. Always good for buyer decides to end an auction on a Saturday afternoon. Even though you paid more than you would of liked for the book, I have a feeling you will be very happy you paid what you did in a few months.
  17. They looked so small until I saw the comic book next to them. Really cool items.
  18. This show has more awesome than words can describe. I look forward to this show more than most of the hero movies coming out.

  21. Awesome. Flash is definitely about to teach Supes a lesson. Supes looks like he is about to gas at any second.
  22. Only 36 9.8 copies on the census, which is not very many for a key copper book. Most likely primarily due to the book not being worth the cost to slab. If pieces rise you will see the census go way up.
  23. It will be interesting to see what the 2 TT44 CGC 9.8 at auction end at. There is already a new high at $360 with 2 days left.
