Stop outbidding me! The Thompson #113 is an absolute beauty. I would of loved to own it and I think it is worth every penny it went for, but there are too many other books I want so I stopped bidding at about $1k.

TMNT #1's do pretty poor on heritage in general. Not the right target audience. Combined with the fact that they were at the end of a long auction and you get those kind of prices. I would of put an extra bid in on the 8.0 if I had been at the computer. Even though it was overgraded and C/OW it went super cheap.

What has me most excited, is it looks like we will get FOUR blockbuster Superhero movies a year, two Marvel's and two DC's. I think it is smart for the studio's to take turns at the theaters. no need to cannibalize each other when the public will gladly watch all the movies if you spread them out. This is pretty much a dream come true for all of us. I feel so lucky.

I'm surprised they have kept the actor who is in the Ra's role quiet as they must have chosen someone by now I would assume.

Has Mirror Master been confirmed for the show? AS far as today's news, love the Captain Cold casting and had a feeling the Grodd scene was an easter egg they could potentially build on if they wanted but would be hard. I am bummed however that they are going to keep tv/movies separate. Would love to see Amell on the big screen, and if they make a Flash movie with another actor it might be slightly weird.

I think it has to happen or there will be a point where such a large number of the pool of potential takers will be within their 30 days and no one will take some good offers. Maybe start off with 48 hours after?

You have always come off as a pretty good guy to me and you shouldn't of had to deal with that. As far as this thread goes, it pretty much looks like PIF, except now blasting people and their offers for fun is now fair game. I can't believe how fast it plummeted.

They dock for interior signatures? Yes, usually a 1-2 grade drop. The wonderful world of CGC grading. I have several book I have bought that have artist/writer sigs on interior so they hammer the books. Great way to obtain books at better price points for a "defect" that some don't mind and some actually like.

Unfortunately I wasn't in a spot where I was collecting books of this value during that timeframe, even though it was a grail of mine back then as well.

It's horrible to see how much competition I(we) have for a copy of this book in this thread alone, disregarding all the other people in the hobby who are trying to get one right now.

I also happen to think the timing of the leak is interesting being exactly 1 month before SDCC. This is what people will be talking about and the DCCU hype is going to be huge.

Just watched the pilot. I have goosebumps.It was very good and looks like it is only going to get better. The post credits scene pretty much beats anything any of the Marvel movies have had. It appears to layout WB/DC's plans for the next decade.

Scouring the internet now looking for the pilot. I read the spoilers and it looks like WB is creating the DCCU exactly how I thought they would and should.

That other 4.0 selling out of their FS section is going to pop the price of this book for sure. I am betting $7700 closing price.

What are your thoughts on total supply of this book? Are there a lot of copies sitting out there unslabbed? Is this the toughest of the big SA keys?

The good old CGC sliding grading scale depending on how old the book is. Even then, that book is particularly bad looking.

I think this is just a case of someone who wants a nice book but doesn't collect cgc. A lot of more popular coppers go for a somewhat silly price compared to what you can get a graded copy for, but some collectors are just not interested in slabs.
