  1. I feel like it would benefit from an animated series first, similar to what Invincible has done.

Manga/Anime is all the rage with the current generation.  My kids have little interest in reading comics, but can’t get enough of black and white, right to left reading manga. Why? My observation is that EVERY mildly successful manga has an anime. The interest starts with the anime. And after years and years of slowly building that fan base, we’re on the cusp of a floodgate of English language live action adaptations.

So imagine if EVERY mildly successful Image title had an animated series. The production cost is cheaper and younger audiences are more inclined to watch than read. It would grow the fan base needed to support the cost on a live action. I really think that’s the main reason that American comics have lost so much ground to manga.

Anyone else having a BIG drop in listing views over the last few weeks?  I'm constantly adding new things and they are pretty in-demand books.  I'm talking 20+% decline.

I recently listed something and a few hours later it showed 3 watchers and only one “view”. Explain that to me? I think the “views” are a bit wonky sometimes.

Here is an example, its a bronze book but still.  I can link a modern book that applies too!

Those are major, major characters.  They have some excellent stories over the years.  They have been in cartoons, a tv series and one was in a movie.

Compared to this, I know its 5 years older etc..

The cover kills the value of DC Comics Presents #26. I LOVE Teen Titans, but have never had that book high on my list because the cover is so terrible.

I just told you exactly the standard involved in this discussion and gave you permission to intervene if I violate that standard.

You seem to be asking for permission to troll, but I've been against that all along.  No one should have their posts trolled--Including me, right now. :(

So you set up a thread, that from the very beginning  sounds as if you’re advocating the trolling of sales threads. Then, in said thread that you created, you complain that you yourself are being trolled, and in essence state that your “standard” of trolling is in some way different or superior to others trolling.

Yup that sounds like the world live in today :p

  5. I’d be curious to know if the individuals complaining about pricing are sellers themselves? There’s something to be said about a sellers reputation and their ability to command higher prices.  I don’t sell on the boards, but I’ve found that on EBay, because I have 20 years of selling experience I can routinely set my pricing higher than other BINS and SELL higher.  I’ll get trashed in a message occasionally, but I just bide my time until I get full asking price.  There’s something to be said about good customer service and people are willing to pay extra for it.

From Fivethiryeight: 'In a legislature, there are 100 politicians. Each is either honest or crooked; some of the legislature is honest, and some of it is crooked. However, if you choose any two politicians at random, at least one is crooked. How many honest politicians are there?' --

You are correct, should have phrased it 'each' instead of 'some'. For being correct, and because it seems as though

I will hook you up with the IP prize. I should probably stop trying to juggle this and Zoom meetings at the same time.

I don’t think you made a mistake, I was just curious. I’m not worried about a prize but thanks for the offer.

And @valiantman with the quick victory at 6:41PM ET. The answer is 99 hydra agents, I will let Valiantman explain:  'If there are 98 (or fewer) Hydra agents, there is a chance, however small, that you could select two agents at random and have zero Hydra agents'. I would love to take credit for this question but it actually comes from the wonderful statistics based website Fivethirtyeight.com (their version involved 100 crooked politicians). Well done Sir!

And since that was answered so quickly, I will post another question within the hour.

99 was my initial thought, but the phrase "Some of them are honest SHIELD agents" would seem to imply that there is more than 1 honest SHIELD agent in the group.  Is that how the original riddle is phrased?   Not trying to be negative, I'm genuinely curious.  Thanks!

No issue of Kid 'N Play is even in the same galaxy as rare. It's a Marvel series from 1992.

That doesn't mean that they're comparable to X-Force 1 or that everybody is guaranteed to find them in every box they see, but they are absolutely not rare.

The Oxford Dictionary has the following definition for rare:

(of a thing) not found in large numbers and consequently of interest or value

There are currently no copies of Kid 'N Play #9 for sale on Mile High or MCS. There are only two raw copies on EBay for $50. I'd say that definition applies.

I mean not new news necessarily, but Thunderbolts #1 from 97 is breaking $20. Superman #17 from the current run is hot right now, but not obscenely high. Carnage books are selling really well, especially the USA miniseries. Spawn newsies are stupid profitable right now.
    Just some random observations.

I'd keep an eye on Thunderbolts #1 2nd Print. This is purely anecdotal, but there don't seem to be nearly as many of those floating around.

Also The Bunker from Oni Press is in development for NBC. Those issues seem to be selling well. With only 19 issues and the last few being pretty low orders, I can see full sets being solid buys.

Marvel Zombies books are selling well with news of them being. Involved in the Disney+ 'What If' series. There have been solid sales on Ultimate FF 21-23 and 30-32

And of course anything related to bourbon sells well

So while Winter Soldier is in my top 15 list of superhero films, what theme from that film has some measure of universal appeal to improve an individual or society?

It's a commentary on how the systems and securities that we have in place to make us feel safe and secure have been built upon, and the product of, evil heinous acts throughout our history. It leaves us questioning whether we should feel comfortable sacrificing certain freedoms, as well as the rights of others in order to feel safe and secure ourselves.

If you've missed the artistic intent, I encourage you to watch it again
