  4. I can't thank Joey enough for selling me a copy of this wonderful book. Joey you always seem to find copies of this book. What is your secret?
  5. Holy smoke Batman that is a nice copy. Congratulations Peter.
  6. thats reasonable but every sale of that magnitude is unique at this point and doesn't necessarily follow any set pattern So essentially, it could be a little more or a little less than 1/3rd based on certain variables (e.g. page quality)? absolutely. There are a myriad of variables that would affect price Thanks Rick.

  8. Hey G.A.tor So how would you price an incomplete or coverless key comic (e.g. AF 15, Tec 29, etc)? I remember reading that a general rule of thumb is 1/3 of the value of good (2.0) graded copy. Do you agree?
  9. it is a great niche and there are some wonderful horror books, but personally, I don't see enough upside to "invest" in them (not saying you can't make some money, just not for me)... if you like them, collect the heck out of them (thumbs u Mr. GAtor, How wrong can one man be? Sincerely, MrBedrock it was a personal statement. 100% accurate It was meant as a general question. Still waiting for an answer. If you had kids you would know that one man can be wrong all the time. That or be head coach of the Eagles.
  10. Even though the spine was completely split and it was pretty rough, I thought it was a 1.0 because it was a complete copy.
  11. 7...8 with some breaks Hopefully 8 or better. My fingers are crossed for ya.
  12. G.A.tor Any predictions on the number of games that the Florida football team wins this season?
  13. Great books all around, but hardly see this one in nice a condition as this. +1. This is a beautiful copy.
  14. Put me down for the 1.5. USA #7 has such a great cover, and I don't think I could own that book without having a complete cover.
  15. Very interesting debate. I initially thought 1.8 all the way until G.A.tor brought up a very interesting point. Now I don't know what to think.
  16. I use registered mail alot. It always seems to take at least 7 business days to get anywhere with infrequent tracking updates. Appreciate the note. Helps hearing from you guys who are familiar with it. My tracking finally updated to say that the package was now in DC and on its way to "the destination". Thought it would come through Richmond, but whatever, at least I have confirmation again that the package is (slowly) making its way to me. Yeah, it is hard with registered mail to endure the wait time. However, in the back of your mind, you can rest easy as it is very secure. (thumbs u

  18. Thanks everyone. I have been after this copy for a long time. I was a little bitter losing out on it in the HA auction in 2013, but now I have it. Woohoo.
  19. I just picked this up. A special thanks goes out to Adrian (top city comics). I am sure many, including previous board member owners, recognize this well traveled copy. I am very pleased with this copy and am happy that it will be with me for the long haul.
  20. I just did a time payment purchase with Adrian. He is absolutely the best, and I could not be happier with the result. (thumbs u
  21. most pence af15 copies sell for 40-60% depending on grade, etc...but there really hasn't been enough sales to establish a "norm" Thanks Rick. I hope that your back is feeling better.
  22. I'd say pence is about 60-70% That is what I was thinking as well Peter. I rarely see pence copies pop up, so I was curious as to what others thought.
  23. Hey G.A.tor, While I know that this is the GA forum, I was hoping to ask a SA question. What is the difference in the price per point of a Pence AF 15 versus a US copy (e.g. US 5k per point while a Pence is 4k per point)?
  24. Here is a link to the pics of the 29. It really is a nice book http://www.comicconnect.com/bookDetail.php?id=622602
