  1. Thanks! Very surprised at a couple of these (in a good way). Expecting another, older shipment pretty soon, too.
  2. Thanks. Went back through again and confirmed printings. Guess I'm on the lookout for a 1 and 4 now.
  3. It's not a 10-stack of 10 9.8 New Mutants 98's and ASM 300's, but a nice eclectic submission with some nice returns.
  4. Sorry for coming back and asking more dumb questions. Received the comics from the seller and....the #1 is a 2nd print, even after asking multiple times to confirm it was a first. On the #2 and the #3: Are the subsequent printings of these done the same way, with a very explicit "XXX" printing at the bottom of the inside cover? (Whereas a first print says nothing extra?) Or are there other things to look out for?
  5. Love it. (Especially if the copy I subbed comes back a 9.8.)
  6. I was going through comics the other day and was very surprised A & A had a $4.50 cover price. Amazing.
  7. The 2 sold for $49.99 each. Wondering if the seller jacked the price b/c only 1 is left or has a fat finger. http://offer.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBidsLogin&item=361199896983&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2564
  8. $125.00-$150.00. Great buys in this guy's humble opinion. Really? Even for a "low" grade considering it's somewhat modern? Thanks for the info; hard to track sales on eBay. Figured I'd ask the experts. Now where to find out about Solar 10 and Harbinger 1.... It's pretty easy to pick up a VF/NM copy of #1 for less than $100. I was going by GPA. Not a whole lot of sales to go by, but the range goes from $95.00-$150.00 for those grades, and I am of the belief that they will just go up. He asked about raw prices  Oh well, I pulled the trigger and I think I still got a good deal -- as long as the comic arrives in the stated condition. Came with a #3 and a #4, so on the lookout for a deuce.
  9. Never heard of these before; pretty cool. Were these 7 malls all in the same area or spread out over the US? (sorry for my mall ignorance)

  11. What's the going rate on a 8.5-9.0 raw of #1?
  12. With a great reputation comes great auction results I lost an auction for this book the other day it went over $87 really solid copy. I couldn't justify paying almost $90 so I gave up http://www.ebay.com/itm/161219899983?ssPageName=STRK:MEDWX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1435.l2649 This is one of the reasons why I'm on heavy anti-depressants... http://www.ebay.com/itm/Strange-Tales-169-1973-NM-9-2-White-Pages-1st-App-Brother-Voodoo-/321310391448?hash=item4acf977c98 It's another aspect of life I don't get. I need all the cash I can get because I'm way behind financially and have a girlfriend and daughter to support, so things like this get me down. Peace, Chip Today How can that be "today" when it is sorted by Highest Price instead of Most Recent?
  13. b/c that seller is a co-creator of the Phantom program. thecomicmarketnh probably has/had a ton, too.
  14. i guarantee this is because of me... i went in there and raid their dollar bin 2 days ago... took 14 copies... and they were like "whats going on with this book?"... i just said i was taking a gamble... same thing happened when i took a huge stack of Morlocks #1... next day the price skyrocketed ... That's funny. I don't understand the overreaction in price increase however. So he sells a dozen copies for $1 each and that triggers research. That research shows what? Speculation and some $10-15 sales. So raise the price to... $45?? Why? Is their goal to be priced 3-5x higher than the market? Because they almost always have a coupon code for 40-60% off. Boom, back down to 2x market value.
  15. While a good price for Epic #3, IIRC current prices are still behind the initial spike after a Dreadstar movie/show was first announced. I think raws (in mid-grade condition) were easily going over $100. Rollercoaster.
  16. Good story and thanks for diving into how you calculate what's a good deal and what is not. Had a similar situation (on a much, much smaller scale) this weekend. Made out OK and found some cool (low-priced) stuff to boot. If he sent you a list of the modern stuff (80's-90's), you can forward it my way and I could check for anything that has gotten hot of late.
  17. Oh, I understand shipping to them wouldn't be an issue. But I'm assuming they would grade the poster and place it in some sort of rigid case like the comics, in which case, how do you ship that safely? Yeah, my bad. Read too fast. Grading posters...should be fun.
  18. Kinda hot maybe? http://www.ebay.com/itm/iZombie-1-2-3-4-5-6-8-11-12-13-15-16-House-of-Mystery-Annual-1-/331474689152?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4d2d6e5c80 Your listing? I sold a NM/- copy of the HoM Annual for $50 about a week ago, if that helps. Sold my iZombie #1 too early but managed to find 2 Annuals for cover.
  19. Yes, I did see that one come up during a quick search. Mine is just the normal white. I figured it was legit, but with some of this indie stuff you never know. The same dealer had a Cerebus #1 that people were debating the merit of. The Turtlemania -- probably b/c it was smaller and the board was flipped backward -- slipped through the cracks.
