  1. We worked out a deal without any issues. Paid immediately. -- dave
  2. Userid: allcountyemploymentservices Reason: Bid on an item w/in 12 hours of listing; never paid.
  3. Considering the only way that book got graded in one day is through walk through service which is $150 minimum, plus book cost, plus sig cost That book cost the seller $200 easily ( unless there are things going on we don't have information about ) If it sells for less than $300, its a failure in my mind. The notation is what sets the book apart, that is what will sell the book. The notation is where CGC went wrong. It's exactly the same thing as the Stan Lee Birthday signature book, most likely by the same group of people. This is what I was getting at last night with my questions. It could be a pre-sale but nowhere in the listing does it mention "will ship when I get back" and the picture looks pretty legit (i.e. not a photoshop of the raw comic with CGC on top). Though the 3/15 date at the top is interesting. Something is afoot and it smells like garbage.
  4. I know it's technically possible, but with a minimum charge of $150 for same-day, I don't think it would be worth it.
  5. #1: Is that the wrong release date of 3/15? #2: If he did sign it on 1/14 how is graded already? #3: WTH is an "exclusive first day of issue release" label?
  6. I believe the "nude" barcode indicates a reprint of some kind.
  7. Since other people are paying for Grader's notes can I get a freebie?
  8. I knew there was competition in the Chicago area, but now I know exactly how ruff it is. I got lucky last week when I was working from home; able to get over to the seller rather quickly.
  9. Truer words have not been spoken. Wow; editing quotes for childish potshots now. All I was saying is that your sale is above and beyond anything else on eBay -- sold or unsold. You sold a raw NM+ for $92 while another raw NM/NM+ went unsold for $41. Count your money, but I'd call that buyer a sucker, not a trendsetter. There's a raw NM/M out there right now for $9 auction or $30 BIN; why not purchase that and flip it for a good profit?
  10. I think Divad's huge sale is a huge outlier -- and his link misleading. If you sort the sales by "Recent First" and go to "Completed" instead of "Sold", you will see a different story for this book: Like This You have a 9.4/9.6 not selling for $41. #1 and #2 not selling for $20. #1-4 not selling for $6.50. #1 and #2 selling for $1. #1 and #3 not selling for $20. And on and on and on. Be careful of what people want you to see. I have no idea how Divad hooked that sucker for $92, grading skills aside.
  11. I did it for my comic listing. Revised an existing BIN and saw a small checkbox under the "Select How You'll Be Paid" heading.
  12. Well I was just able to go into one of my current BIN listings and revise to require immediate payment. However, at least for me, this is good and bad. I have had a couple items purchased (larger items) that had to wait for an eCheck to clear. Always came through.
  13. FYI --- CASE SENSITIVE penagchris Also-- you can avoid this problem by changing your settings so that anyone pressing "Buy It Now" cannot get the item until they have completed payment for it. The item remains up for sale until the BIN payment is processed. I also do not allow people to pay with e-checks as this process can fool the buy it now and it can take a week for the transaction to complete. I made this switch quite a while ago when I ran into a similar BIN buyer who dragged their feet and eventually cancelled sale. Their actions cost me a sale to someone else. This is a very effective way to stop that type of behavior. Don't have the cash right now-- then you cannot buy it now, can you? The last time I wanted to change this, it was only one option for certain sellers -- I believe only if you have a store (or similar). Has this been changed?
  14. I'll take your $100, though that's a lot of additional conditions you added. If you do go through with this you may learn that CGC don't give out Copper 9.9's as easily as you think. I've only ever had two but they were both doozies.....ASM #238 and X-Men #211. CGC only other guys give the 9.9's away That's what I heard as well. If the other guys "give away" 9.9's and 10.0's shouldn't that devalue the price for an other guy's 9.8 vs. a CGC 9.8?
  15. I've submitted a 9.9 and received a 9.9. Any Vengeance of Bane #1's? Would have been. Why, hypothetically, leave all of that money on the table? A modern sub is $20 or so.
  16. I've submitted a 9.9 and received a 9.9. Any Vengeance of Bane #1's?
  17. I know the seller - in a way - of all of those longboxes. It would seem that he wouldn't leave anything of real value in there, unless he truly does not care at this point (though he did just open a store that needs money and stock).
  18. Thought the address looked familiar. Then I saw the slats on the wall; confirmed.
  19. How many people are able to get in on this bet? What the hell,
  20. I'm not one to stir the pot, and I know grading is subjective, and Divad has always taken some heat, and I did (once) list a comic as NM/MT but if this is a raw comic...
  21. Some good sales in there, but is that a typo on ASM 300? An actual NM copy for $122?
  22. Can't find that book out in the wild at all, I've found the 49 but not the the 50 we should hype the 49 more, its the REAL 1st app. What about the New 52 JLD #1 as the 1st app.? I don't own that one Neither did I until I hit a store on break and they had 4 priced at $1 each. Whichever team or appearance becomes "the one", I have my bases covered.
