  1. Do you know how many comics there were? In one of the videos the guy mentions LB Cole but I don't see any in the estate pictures.
  2. Crowne Plaza Chicago O'Hare 5440 N. River Rd. Rosemont, IL (Basically across the street from the Stephens Convention Center) 10 AM - 6 PM $5 Admission ; $10 Early Admission @ 9 AM (hopefully this time they actually let early people in early) $5 Parking https://www.facebook.com/1formula350 @jsilverjanet will be setup there.
  3. Nice - it looks like I'm only 2 weeks away from having my package opened by CGC. When your 4/26 order goes thru I'll start checking again. Look at the depths we have fallen to: excitement over "only" taking around a month for CGC to open up your comics and mark them Received. But big submissions and big money keeps rolling in, so why should they change it.
  4. Now my search returns a lot more than before (it was literally six books). However, the only raw seller over that amount is 16. The others are 9.8 — which are good prices — but that also ratchets up the prices.
  5. Interesting the seller would cancel. It was titled correctly, setup as an auction, and it is restored. Was a reason given for the cancelation? Or is your frustration more with feebay and keeping your refunded money?
  6. On feebay the only Zatanna single issue I see sold over $200 is a 16 9.8.
  7. I click on the Quality Control topic whenever something new comes up. As usual I see several cases where the wrong label was placed with the comic (not any damage to a comic). On the Avengers 4 thread (and perhaps I didn't read closely) it's detailing the story of a single book. I'm not saying CGC damaging a book is good or acceptable, but I was under the impression from the posts here the volume of CGC damage is way up. And it very well could be; I guess I'm looking for something with dozens of recent damaged comics collected together (not necessarily a topic on these boards). And I have several full submissions of older slabs where any slight movement and the comic bounces around, which could quite easily lead to damage during shipping or handling. That's why I cringe when I see some videos on IG on people tossing slabs around or pulling them out of a short box and dropping them back down. Less movement than that has led to damage on my own slabs.
  8. There is a lot of QC hesitation which I was not aware of. Is there a link to examples of how bad it is and the volume?
  9. My 2c: The ones who submit a comic or two for fun will continue to do so. The ones who submit b/c their income depends on it will continue to do so. The ones who are in the middle will, overall, submit less. Unless/until the heavy submitters stop sending in hundreds of books a month -- and why would they if they depend on the income -- the TATs will not come down. The middle-level submissions are a drop in the bucket in terms of volume, and the flood of in-house signings essentially negates that. So the middle drop-off will largely go unnoticed in terms of submissions.
  10. Maybe CGC is on Summer Break and none of this counts as working days, suckas!
  11. I see this on the Services page: Turnaround times reflect the estimated number of working days to complete a submission delivered to our facility today. Turnaround times are estimates only and are NOT guaranteed. Due to high submission volumes, there may be a delay in opening incoming packages. Certain grading tiers are currently experiencing significant delays. But, these are all just fun estimates anyway, so what is everyone complaining about? We put up these charts with TAT, that are just estimates, and which we did not have to do.
  12. Seconded. And I’m actually sorry I sent in my last batch which will incur increased fees and dramatically increased TATs.
  13. By the time your comics are sent in to eventually marked Received, you may be paying additional Fast Track fees and getting what used to be the "standard" grading TAT.
  14. Thank you. It's why I liked my saved search: I didn't have to have 100+ specific searches for a title; as long as it was listed in GA I would see it. And on a lot of feebay stuff, if it's a good price, it's gone fast. It was still not cheap, but appears to be a good purchase compared to other recent sales.
  15. One of my last browsing eBay Golden Age "impulse" buys.
  16. Never thought I’d be able to get a decent copy of this. Rather excited. The spine has some issues, but it’s complete, attached, and the main image is clean.
  17. This may be a good time to snag auctions and/or newly-listed BINs as it's hard to find anything right now. On the contrary... it's hard to find anything right now. So when I use the back Categories -> Collectibles -> Comics I do get an Era sub-section. But when I click Golden Age there is yet another choice to make (Category or Publisher)? Can't I just look at all of them? And that's not even the end of it? I click on Horror and then have to choose a grade? I went through just clicking on things and ended up at this: Not any listings, just links to other sites? This is some serious trash.
