  1. That Superman middle eastern unibrow is really starting to grow on me.
  2. I love the Flash show......BUT.....there are WAY too many speedsters. It's getting OLD.
  3. Shouldn't that qualify it as homicide squad?
  4. It all really went downhill when E.S. told speculators to eat a bag of .
  5. Just saw the flick last night. Not NEARLY as bad as critics have led me to believe. Enjoyed it more than BvS. Didn't have issues with pacing or story. Didn't have issues with characters or main villains. Just enough Leto and Bats for a movie not supposed to be focusing on those characters. Not listening to giant piles of critic horse feces anymore. Looks like they got a hardon after BvS, and have a hard time putting it to use.
  6. Wow, that's a super unflattering budder face picture IMO.
  7. They should change the AOU acronym to IOU, cause I want the 2 hours and 22 minutes of my life back from watching it.
  8. Just for and giggles.....do a quick search for the movie: Misconduct...starring Al Pacino and Anthony Hopkins. Apparently it was so bad, it only managed to make $141 on it's opening weekend. At the very least, Suicide Squad cannot be as bad as that movie was.
  9. If DC/WB is "flopping" it's because they aren't listening to the fans. They keep making outrageous casting decisions, and re-inventing the characters which don't require re-invention. To top it off, they're either too dark or trying to be zany. They've yet to find the right blend of seriousness and humor without being awkward. Then they give away the entire plotline through trailers and subsequent intentional "leaks". If they want to succeed, they don't need to follow any formula derived by Marvel/Disney. They need to stop with the wildly_fanciful_statement and put the same folks that are in charge of their other media properties in charge of these flicks. They got it right with television, they got it right with their animated videos. When it comes to their movies, they appear to care more about "star power" than substance or content. They don't need to make movies for entitled Millenials that are dying to get to their next tweet whilst clubbing...they need to make movies that the FANS of the material want to see.
  10. Iron man 3 was a steaming piece of dog feces. I'd say 7 was pretty generous and you'd have to be deaf, dumb and blind to give it that rating.
  11. Seeing how far down the development line that animation is.....I can only suspect that it was planned a long while back, with storyboards, etc. Definitely it was something in the can back in 2015 when many of the JLD casting rumors came out, like Ron Perlman as Swamp Thing and Colin Farrell as Constantine. It's more likely that this animated feature was planned a long time ago, like circa 2014. If that's the case, then the development of this animated feature in no way means it is replacing a live action movie.
  12. I'm not feeling it... Poor casting choice. Looks nothing like. Perhaps he'll compensate with some impressive acting? Those two eyebrows look like they're dying to meet one another.
  13. I agree it was better, but certain things still needed to be fixed. I'm still a little confused why the Flash in the Justice League movie looks different than B vs S, hair, goatee and all. I prefer his look in Justice League compared to B vs S, just confused why there was no continuity. Some things in B vs S are still a little confusing if you are not a comic book fan or have friends who are. Captain America Civil War did not have that problem and is now my new gold standard in which to compare other super hero films to. I think we should let Ax take this one... He's a hippy from an alternate future...
  14. I was surprised at that as well. That JL trailer, though pieced together rather quickly, told all it needed to about the main heroes and the tone of the film to make it that much more exciting. 2017 can't get here soon enough. Is everyone more or less excited than they were about Dawn of Justice? I'm reserving judgement for the final product. I was excited about the announcement of BvS, the disappointed by the casting, then excited once again for the trailer, then disappointed by the theatrical release.....the ultimate edition picked up my spirits and hope a bit....but until they demonstrate that they can do better I'm guarded in my expectations.
  15. http://www.superherohype.com/news/379327-swamp-thing-lives-see-an-animation-test-for-live-action-justice-league-dark-movie I'm not sure why everyone keeps reporting Dark Universe as being "dead". Nobody has any confirmation from Warner Bros. and in spite of the fact that JLD is now getting the animated treatment, there's been nothing to suggest it's NOT going to be developed into a live action format. Sure del Toro isn't attached to the project in the same way anymore, but that was a fairly early development and well understood. There were alot of reports that came out after that announcement that suggested development continued, even to the extent that certain actors were being considered for roles in the upcoming film. To date we haven't seen a suggested release or filming schedule, but my personal opinion is that WB/DC is trying to familiarize audiences with the JLD before jumping into a full length feature live action film. If WB/DC doesn't opt to do this, they have no 'answer' to the phase 3 marvel inclusion of magic/mysticism, which IMHO would be a huge fail. I think if anything is true, it's that if DC/WB is investing any time at all into the development of JLD as an animated feature they have additional plans to spotlight one or more of these characters in some other media. They've already touched on it in some small way on television with Constantine. They previously had a big screen incarnation of Constantine. They continue to insinuate that Constantine may be back on television, and they even bring back M. Ryan into the fold to do the voiceover for Constantine in animated form. It's pretty clear that Constantine isn't going away anytime soon.
  16. So that Justice League trailer wasn't even in the top 5 most discussed trailers on twitter? That horrid Blair Witch remake that looks exactly like the first one with better cinematography faired better? Oooooofah.
  17. Liking the pacing now....but I've gotta say that in spite of my love for the appearance of the SOK....I'd like to see a more traditional origin of that character. The angel of death, Lucifer....the two mystical guns.....that's all part of the sauce that fleshes him out. Making him some damned soul in Hell reliving his sins is interesting, but takes much of the menace out of him. Does this look like a guy that could take down God? Is Lucifer quaking in his boots because he knows the SOK can gun him down? Him becoming the new angel of death is part of his allure. Him shutting down the fires of Hell with his cold heart is another aspect of the character that is missing in action. I completely understand they're taking literary license with the character, but how much they strip away is just as important as what they leave.
  18. SOK FTW!!!! Saw a youtube interview with the cast. They pretty much said that fans of the comic are going to be happy they invested so much time into a "prequel" of the story by the end of the first season. The presumption is that we're going to get more of the story we're familiar with starting with season 2.
  19. The trailer looks great, but the Iron Fist one looks even better!!! I didn't know there were teasers for that and even the Defenders already!
  20. Totes McGoats....it was either that....or break into the blood bank......or feed him some human or another animal. Jesse must have left him for dead.....Tulip must have found him and gave him shelter...of course he had already told her that he drinks blood to heal. I guess the animal shelter was a pretty logical conclusion considering Cassidy was in no shape to go anywhere and find his own victim.
  21. There is a Super-Ultra-Hyper-Extended Beta Release coming in August.
  22. I've got 1 name for Wiebe: Joëlle Jones He puts her on the book and you've got magic happening again. She's not only talented, but she's easy on the eyes as well...
