  1. Hey now! My frustration is born out of love for these characters. I can't imagine you want Ezra to take a huge dump on all our childhoods (to quote those irritated folks that are hating on the all-female Ghostbusters reboot). I'm DC until I push up dirt.....but I can have a reaction to what I perceive as a baaaaaaaad move on their direction, design and vision for these iconic characters. I still can't see how they can get it sooooooo right in television land....(not 1x, but 2x if you include JWS) and then slap the collective faces of every Flash fan on the planet with their horrendous choice for the cinematic universe. How come practically everyone they have to choose for a role in these flicks is a shock or surprise that causes tremendous controversy? I liked Gadot in BvS, and I actually liked Affleck......but how much did they stir up the pot when announced? Why not go with the obvious choice so folks are PUMPED instead of outraged? Look at Eisenberg.....what a disaster. So still on team DC, but a bit gun shy and intellectually injured by their constant pistol whipping of fans.
  2. , I'll concede it MAY be a helmet. But nobody doubts that's a moustache, with accompanying soul patch AND long flowy hair behind his head.....unless that's all supposed to be some sort of hipster time technology. Don't forget the man-bun in the leaked Luthor-file convenience store footage. Maybe he uses the man-bun to accelerate fast enough to break the dimensional barrier....it could be a tachyon-bun....and the moustache helps steer or navigate like a rudder.
  3. I'll have to go back and find a bootleg of the Flash dream appearance video, but I'm not sure that was his hair. It was more the time waves rushing over him as he fought through a 'tunnel'. I could be wrong on that, as it was a fast and cloudy scene. Those still-frames pictured in the post are clear as day......it's his hair man! Those aren't "time waves", more like wavy-hair. I think I'm going to smack my head into the wall a few times and knock myself unconscious.
  4. All I can say is I'm glad the six-million dollar man didn't start a thread asking for repair money....only to find out that he's blowing the $ on fembots and coke. I'm sure Oscar and Rudy would be pretty pissed off.
  5. So what the hell is that with his hair? I can see it's all long and flowing.....but is it coming out of the top of his cowl as well? Is that just like a mask in the front with hair popping out of the top? What's with the moustache? Let's take Superman next and put him in a leisure suit with a sombrero. How about Aquaman in a smoking jacket with a big sherlock holmes pipe? Then we can put Batman in a footsie pajamas bunny-suit. Green lantern will not be green, he'll be pink with polka dots and have a long ZZ-top beard. Lastly, Wonder woman will be wearing a phallic codpiece and a stove-pipe hat. Have you up the look of heroes enough yet Snyder/WB/DC machine? Jeezus.
  6. Some of the dialogue and scenes already seem to tell a bigger story than the one that was the theatrical release..... Supes saying "if they think I killed those people, they're wrong"...clarifies alot more of the angst against him.....same with the folks saying "how does he choose who lives or dies". Seems like alot was left on the cutting room floor....and NOT for the better. They should have bit the bullet....and made the movie longer....alot was left to your imagination....and the cuts were too quick without building up any story that made the motivations of the characters clear. I betcha we're going to see more of why Luthor acutally hates Supes...... It's really too bad that the Ultimate edition was not the theatrical release.....I'm betting that the whole perception of the movie would have been different and it may have hit that 1 billion mark. Don't cut corners especially when you're shaking up the foundation of the characters as much as Snyder has......explain, explain, explain. Heck, once I'm in the theater, I don't mind sitting for another half hour or more if the movie is good. If it sucks, it'd be like torture....but don't make it suck because you don't want it to run longer. Who would have complained if the movie ran longer? Just more entertainment for you $ IMHO.....only a silly person moans about that.
  7. Romanian subtitles even!!!! Vlad the Impaler will be pleased.....(possibly Count Chocula as well)
  8. Mile High is discounting something that's hot? Someone better check the book of Revelations to see if the end is nigh. There's a reason the other half of their name is "high", and I don't believe it's because they're smoking the wacky weed.
  9. Not criticizing, but criticism can't possibly hurt this movie anymore. In fact, it's quite possible that there's been enough of it to catalyze some changes at both DC and WB that will make them hit it right out of the park with any subsequent movies. If that's what happens, then all this and moaning will not have been in vain.
  10. BOSCO.....I'm just reporting what's out there. I'm still on team DC..... I can't help that I didn't like the movie. I REALLY wanted to like it. I had the same fears many folks did going in...some were warranted....others not so much. Overall, I was left with the taste of Jeremy Irons cereal in my mouth. Having said that....I'm definitely NOT the Leeeeeeeeroy Jenkins of the DC threads....LMAO.
  11. I don't want to mess on BvS AGAIN.....but even Jeremy Irons seems a bit upset: http://www.comicbookresources.com/article/batman-v-superman-deserved-poor-reviews-says-jeremy-irons
  12. I stopped watching Gotham because of Fish Mooney. She's total weaksauce.
  13. WOW. All those Flashes and they still have to have a new one for the movie... So let me get this straight... John Wesley Shipp is:- 1) Barry Allen's father Henry 2) Barry Allen 3) Jay Garrick ...? Yep, JWS is ALL THOSE FOLKS.....AND there's yet ANOTHER Flash in the movies........welcome to the Multiverse.
  14. They're all part of the Multiverse apparently....so if you dug Rosenbaum over Eisenberg.....both are Luthor. Heck, even John Wesley Shipp has been depicted on the CURRENT CW Flash show as BOTH Jay Garrick and as Barry Allen via the Multiverse. They just revealed him to be Garrick the original Flash from Earth-3 in the comics last night, and on a prior episode: In "Welcome to Earth-2", as Barry, Cisco and Wells are traveling to Earth-2, glimpses of the multiverse are seen, including an image of Shipp as the Flash from the 1990 series, implying that the series was retroactively being added to the Arrowverse-multiverse.
  15. Uh-Oh.....Flashpoint Paradox!!!! Barry can't stop things up for himself....

  17. Being a fan of the original comic, I have noticed the departures from the traditional characterization. Having said that, there's nothing that's a complete turn-off or deal breaker for me. In fact, it does contemporize some of these characters and makes them more viable for today's audiences. I wasn't crazy about their pick for Tulip, but I can get over it. With regards to the storyline following the comic exactly they said that this season would end where the comic begins: http://comicbook.com/2016/05/20/why-preacher-season-1-will-end-where-the-comics-begin/ So there are obviously intentional deviations from the source material. The first season is going to ramp up until it becomes more traditionally like the comic storyline. I can get behind that and not hate the folks making it for not sticking to each and every line of dialogue or frame in the comic. It has to play well on screen. Comics are written to be comics, not movies or television shows. When adapting these things for other media, there has to be a certain degree of creative license and flexibility or you're constrained to the limits of the original media. All in all I find the first episode entertaining and I can see that there's more in store.

  19. You killed my DAD.....ok, let's race. Seems like a perfectly reasonable thing to do right after a funeral.
