  1. FF's that were on hold pending approval are now up for sale #2, 9, 10, 14, 16, 21, 24, 27, 48, 49 bob
  2. Please don't take this the wrong way but I used to say this to my programmers when I managed them. Speak english. Ok, scan at 400 and downsize to 300. How exactly am I doing this? Using what? Are you assuming I'm using photoshop? BTW which I'm not. Are you assuming I'm loving spending 10 mins on each scan?
  3. Thank you sir. Checkboard DC's are very collectible from what I hear bob
  4. I've been pretty steady for the last few months. No longer taking prednisone which is a good thing. Still getting treatments every 3-4 weeks. Been doing shows, have been flying and driving all over the place so everything has been good so far.
  5. While I have an IT background I am not a graphic designer. I have a Scanjet X12USL. I have no idea what a moiree artifact is. The Sharp setting on the scanner is set to 0, I do not enhance sharpness, if I decrease it it blurs the scan, if I increase it they amp the scan up.
  6. The scans are pretty close to what the books look like. While Bob was nice enough to scan some of the books for the thread I'm not sure it is a good idea to put up books with part of the label missing. In addition there are front/back scans are all of the books. I spent most of yesterday scanning these up, not really looking to go back and forth tweaking scans to amp the book up.
  7. Hey thanks for the compliments on my scanning. Appreciate it. Have a great day
  8. The Mad Scientist FF run will be up for sale at 3:00 EST today for those who have been following the scans. As a FF collector it was a pleasure going through a high grade run in one sitting.
  9. Good transaction, no complaints on my end.
  10. I heard this was a great place to bash Dealers I heard this was the place where all the great comedians hung out. Until I met Jeff from Hotflips I kept asking myself these guys aren't that funny.
  11. Anybody in the club want to part with a 7.5 or better copy? Please PM me if you do.
  12. Anybody in the club want to part with a 9.0 copy?
  13. Excellent transaction, thanks again. bob
  14. The technical dealer term is swillverage But your post is funny
  15. I've tapped into your smartphone so when you are looking at books with the phone acting like a flashlight I see exactly what you are looking to buy.
  16. I've tapped into the camera's at C2E2. It keeps me posted on "roy sightings"
  17. Must be nice to not be at the show "working" My response to you not working as hard as me will now be responded with "I don't work as hard as you do when it comes to posting on the boards".
  18. So would I, it might be hard for some to believe that Highgradecomics.com actually has 3.0-5.0 books.
  19. Yup, Amazing Spider-man and Fantastic Four's only.
  20. I've bought a couple 100 original owner GA books to market lately so I'm not sure exactly why people assume I don't have Golden Age. If you are talking about the classic tough issues I am out there looking for them just as hard as anybody else out there. But typical of some of these thread comments GA collectors tend to assume that I just focus on Silver/Bronze. And it is also possible that when I get them I sell them . Museum pieces are nice but I prefer they sell every once in awhile.
  21. I always wondered where in the Overstreet price guide it clearly states that Golden age is graded looser than Silver/Bronze? I look on Page 175 of the Overstreet price guide grading definitions and I don't see it anywhere. But yet CGC grades looser. I also missed the paragraph where specific manufacturing defects and the idea that Mile highs with Color touch are unrestored is written. But hey, what do I know. I'm one of those guys who specializes in Silver/Bronze High grade.
