    Thank you.

My old address is 250 miles away. I have sent a message to the phone number I have for the people that bought the house, asking them if a friend of my wife's can pick up the package. I hope they reply. :wishluck:

I have tried contacting Hot Flips in every way possible to see if they can help - calling, leaving a message, e-mailing, sending a message on their FB page, completing the "Contact us" form on their website. No response. I updated my address on their website immediately after receiving the order confirmation e-mail. I replied to their order confirmation e-mail with an explanation and my new address. I have heard nothing back, nada. This is not the Hot Flips I so fondly remember. Yes, it is my fault, but I tried to correct it immediately. No help from them. :(

    Update:

USPS tracking said "Package delivered 7:22 PM" on August 5th.

My wife's friend contacted lady who bought my house on August 6th to set a convenient time for pickup and was told no package was delivered.  I went back into USPS tracking and it now said "Package returned."  Huh?

So I tried calling Hot Flips again and this time someone answered. I was told yes it was coming back to him and he would send it to the right address.

Had a long conversation with him about all of the problems caused by Covid. Very nice guy - not sure if he was the owner as I really don't know that much about Hot Flips.

    Anyway, all is good. (thumbsu

I had an issue with them and called just recently, less than 2 weeks ago.  I have a reminder to call them back to see if the problem product is back in for them to ship me new bags.

I just called the 800 number on their website.

    Hope you get resolution! :(

Yes I called the 800 number and left a message. No return call.

Did you send them a PM here?  I assume it goes to the same email addy as you have already tried but if not, you can try it here.

I hope you get it resolved.  Best of luck.

No. That's the only thing I didn't do.

Anyway, the package got delivered last night.

I don't know and have never met the people who bought my old house. I was able to get name and phone number from the real estate agent who sold the house.

I texted her and she was very nice. A friend of my wife's is going to get in contact with her and pick up my package today.

She will go to a pack n mail type place and ship it to me UPS or Fedex. USPS is really screwed up right now.

Not all that helpful but this happened to me once.  It was a $300 book and the dealer sent it to the address he had on file for me (my fault for not updating) but I honestly didn't think about since I assumed it would be sent to my paypal address (which was accurate) and how I paid.

I went to my old house and asked the current owner if they had it.  Luckily, they returned it to the dealer who then sent it on to me.

I, of course, updated my address on my account with the dealer and all turned out good for me.

So if it cannot be intercepted, perhaps you can try to contact the current resident at your old address if possible and have them hold it once received.

    Thank you.

  5. I ordered some mylar archives from Hot Flips on July 18th.

I have not ordered from them since moving to Spring, TX in 2016.

I received an order confirmation from them on the 18th with my old Hurst, TX address. Oops! My fault!

I immediately replied to their e-mail with my correct address. I fixed the address in my Hot Flips account. I called them on the 20th about the address error.

I have been following the USPS tracking number every day. Today I see that the package is out for delivery to my old address.

Am I screwed? Trying to figure out what I can do at this point. hm

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

PSA, if anyone calls me a "pervert" after my timely demise, please don't burn any bridges on my behalf.

No one should be punished for speaking the truth.

No problem. You couldn't carry Howard's jockstrap.

Actually, you did that - it is on the first page of this thread. Anyone familiar with my posting history knows that I have used "pervert" on half the board members here - it is term of endearment with my fellow collectors.

I have done business with Howard multiple times before his passing, and as far as I know, he was a great guy. Yes, I collect under grounds - I have for years, and I am a pervert too. I have the full set of Cherry's.

Additionally, I have done business with you before. True. But after your last comments, after I called out the law student on his restored book, and your failure to open my pm regarding that incident, and then this latest repeated stalking attack with your pms and posts, I would not order from you again. That's how I think. I hope you are happy.

No worries, Elk. Calling Howard a pervert after his death just doesn't work for me. And for that, you don't have to worry about me ever selling to you again.

    I like underground comix. :sumo:

50c probably put the thread in Magazines because most underground comix collectors were posting at Comics Price Guide forums or at the Head Comix wiki. A lot of u-comix collectors run anti-slabbing and so would not follow over to these boards. There's another good thread in Bronze too.

Howard G was not a pervert. He was a family man and collected aboveground comics too.

Eggs Ackley was a fictional Crumb character in Big Ash Comics that made it with demon vultures. He makes pornhub look tame.

Yes, and Lizards knew exactly who I was referring to when I said Eggs Ackley, which everyone knows was his board name.

    Wow. Just wow.

The second line demonstrates your ignorance, in assuming you know how "people like me" think.

    Begone Satan.

When you call a deceased well respected board member a pervert, you are not leaving a lot to the imagination as to how "you think."

I sold a decent Funnybook #1 on feeBay recently. Found the book at my local, 1/2 off $10!

So... @icefires... What's the deal with the new edition? A Peach Momoko cover? I looked it up on feeBay and there was only the one copy...

Go to the Unofficial underground comics thread. I attempted to explain it all there.

    Excellent post. Thank you.

My reference to Eggs certainly meant Howard. I had over 1.000 PM's with him over the years. He was a great friend and mentor for me regarding underground comics.

    I didn’t know they still made these😷

Larry and Sharon published Cherry 23X and Cherry 23 in 2019, nearly 20 years after cherry 22 was published.

Cherry 23X was limited to only 200 copies and is not easy to find.

CGC has incorrectly listed Kitchen Sink Press as the publisher of the two graded copies of 23X (Cherry Comics is the publisher).

Both graded copies are SS 9.8.

The first one sold on Ebay for $200. I thought that was high, and wasn't even aware of it until after it sold.

The second one came up on Ebay, and I bid $308 early on to make sure I would win since I was not going to be around when the auction finished.

I was shocked to learn that I lost when the winner got it for $313.  Crazy!

This year, they apparently teamed up with Golden Apple Comics to publish limited edition variant covers with Peach Momoko art. There is one trade "Legacy edition" cover and three virgin covers. They also published a Legacy edition with the Cherry Poptart #1 cover.   All books contain all stories from the first printing of #1.

All books with Peach Momoko (one trade, three virgin) are sold out.

I had never heard of Peach Momoko before, but am very impressed with the art for these covers.

Awesome glad to see another Cherry Pop tart fan! I have every issue.

I will be posting more in "The Official Underground Comix thread." Where is that?

Why, it's in the Comic Magazines section, even though 90% of underground comics are not magazine size.

Why are underground comics in the Magazine thread?

Ask CGC. Apparently they hate underground comics and hide then where they are least likely to be found.

I would love to have someone from CGC explain the reasoning.

Sorry. I buy Cherry for investment only.

The comics I bought 10 years ago are now worth 1/2 what I paid for them. :acclaim:
