Yeah - it's kinda cool too that you can click on the 'sold' images to see the line art.

Image's tweet yesterday re: upset Saga fans was a funny response.

It just means he has upped his maximum bid each time. The reason the bid hasn't changed is because the only a different bidder can force him to pay more.
I always believe this looks fishy. In all honesty if I was wanting to bid on your books, this sort of activity would put me off. The guy may actually be clever enough to know this and is exactly the effect he wants.
that what I am wondering why not just bid one or twice.
I am curious to see how it will play out.
I've seen it on auctions I've run & ones I've bid on - I think it's a power play by bidder to ward off any potential bidders - as in 'I want this and i want to show you that you don't have a chance'.

BIGGER!!!
(That's for you, Garf)

I sold him five NMW #1 - not saying it was one of them - just saying.
I think you are implying that you possessed both a Revival 9.9 and Nowhere Men 9.9 at the same time, Ryan.

Riley has an extensive body of work and seems very prolific - Proof & Green Wake in addition to those listed above. I'm sure Bedlam gave him a lot more exposure - I wonder what happened to break that team?
-
Riley's style definitely meshed well with the story.

Invincible 11 and 12 are almost always the highest selling Invincible issues other than issue #1 and variants. Issue 10 has a lower print run but 11 and 12 still sell higher.
I only read the trades... What happens in 11 & 12 to make them desirable?
Invincible discovers the truth about Omni-Man & Viltrum and then they have their big fight.
Ahhh yeah. That's when Invincible went from being a 'Good' read to a 'Really Good' read IMO.

The only new books that I have to report and add to this tread are:
Peter Panzerfaust #9 - $14+ didn't this just come out yesterday?
Amazing Spider-Man #606 Sketch - $15+
Iron Man #282 - $20+ because it's the 1st war machine.
Invincible #11 - $20+ I have no clue on this one.
Revival #1 - $22+
Detective Comics #1 - $22+
NYX #3 - $30+ because she is still the best at what she does.
And a ton of Saga, PP, Amazing Spider-Man #700 variants, ToT, MtM and Hawkeye's.
Here's the list so you can see for yourself
I think invincible 11 had an early early preview of Nowhere Men.

The cover is very consistent with Hickman's design sensibility. It's branding. He's done this going back to his first book, THE NIGHTLY NEWS. Looks like he's had a clear idea of how he wants his work packaged, from the get-go. Unusual to see that kind of vision from a new creator.
I agree. His covers appear to be designed by a Graphic Designer moreso than an illustrator.

What do i think when I hear OA....hmmm.
overpriced art?
one day the bug will catch me, but I'll fight it as long as I can. Anyone selling SA x-men covers for cheap?
I think SA x-men covers are either lost in a black hole or have the 'NFS - EVER' tag. Some of the OA historians such as Court and Felix may know.
-
OA? What is this "OA" of which you speak...?
Congrats on picking up Tyler as a client, Court. I don't see dealers announcing new artists that they are repping on the OA board - is that considered taboo? Shouldn't be.

PM me what pages you might be interested in moving OR a link to your CAF page if you have one. tx,

You have any to sell?

I LOVE ME SOME BEDLAM
+1. So much that I bought some OA of issue 1! I'll post later this week if anyone cares to see.
I did this early on with Walking Dead, and well....that turned out pretty good. I really have faith in this book. Hope the story keeps getting better with 4 this week.
Yeah, definitely post that!!
Love Rossmo's artwork.
Riley's rep - Jason with interiorpages.com - is great to deal with. I think there are still a couple of pages from Bedlam iss. 1 on the site. I bought the cover for Debris #4 that Riley did a few months ago - it looks fantastic in person.

Comeback is a mini. most agree its not worth the effort to talk about those
Touché....

Nowhere Men has a good framework and backstory. Is it worthy of being a '$75 for three issue raw' series yet? Probably not. There is definitely a lot of thought put into the story, and -as always - the first arc will be the best indicator as to if this is another great (small 'g') title.
I have a question - are we readers being spoiled by all the quality books put out by Image now? Speculation aside. There are a few quality books that I see barely discussed anywhere on the boards (e.g. Comeback - and no horse in that race; I only have 1 issue each of 1-3)

That said, if anyone has 100 issues of TWD #1, please PM me.
Speaking of that I was talking to one of my LCS owners about TWD #1. He told me a horror story that made me cringe. 10 years ago he ripped the covers off 10 copies and mailed them back to Diamond...
When Image Firsts came out with TWD reprint, I snagged a bunch for my wife to do this with them . I mean, how much could a $1 reprint really be worth, right?!?!
Is that the variant that has an advert for the show on the back (Pre-1st season)? I think I read that that is the most sought-after Image First. Didn't see it mentioned in the description, tho

maybe one word titles are easier for people to type
Chew is certainly easier to spell than Panzerfaust.
Some people could be like me - hoping for a panic sale of Chew #1 (doesn't seem to be too panic-y yet)

Picked up 4-7 this week after hearing all the hype and this is quite a read. I definitely want like to read 1-3 to better understand what i missed. I saw the writing on the side margins, but decided to skip it until the re-read; this book definitely warrants it - very high concept.
I remembered seeing the first two issues on the racks a few months ago, but the cover art turned me off. The interior art leaves a little to be desired too, but I like the paper quality and the idea of printing what looks like the art board as a frame (with tick marks and all). I also like the watercolor style. The overall art effect does add to the surreal story.
I may have to wait for the TPB or 2nd printings on the first 3 issues tho. I just can't drop the high asking prices on crappy covers

Anyone thinking incoming tax returns will cause a decent spike in current prices?
I always have strong eBay sales Feb thru May that I attribute to tax-return related disposable income. Not a good time to be a bidder, IMO

'I ordered one...what the heck COS play is funsoftcore comic covers, because explaining to people why adult men collect comic books wasnt hard enough already
Zenescope, anyone...?
Yeah - my wife saw the Zenescope booth at AACC last week and asked if it was porn

You have an impressive CAF gallery, btw
yah, and I visited it many times before i knew it was his, looking at a certain sketcher's work, just ridiculous stuff...
Thanks! (x2)
I have signatures turned off, so I forget that I have one.
actually, it was from googling the artist, not your sig
Let me put it this way, Rucka's punisher run is my favourite comic book of 2012. you are the third hit on google for "mico suayan comic art".
Same for me. I bought some of Mico's work from your website before and was later looking all the 'Whales' (to use a Vegas term) on CAF - of which you are one.
