  1. I was pleased to pick up some Andy Lee 11 X 17 Peanuts character renderings! These will be an excellent complement to my collection. Best, David S. Albright
  2. Not for sale. Here comes the Judge! Larsen, de la Rosa. David
  3. If you are new, or uncertain, there are many experienced dealers who screen out obvious unreal original comic art. There is the difficulty of unpublished art without provenance. Ask for references, it is prudent. David
  4. In reference to your original post, those might be production material, or they could be clever aftermarket product. There really isn't a value difference, particularly without any provenance. There might even be an uptick in value if the pieces derived from a known fraudster! Decorative, appealing, but not "original" pen and ink comic art for the picky OA collector. Color guides generally have not seen the same level of appreciation as the original art. Best, David S. Albright
  5. That is a great tip. On my laptop, I used a right click on the mouse for the same link to images. Nice! David
  6. I am in the odd cohort of people who do not have go to work, or think about returning to work. I am officially retired, 25 years post office, 10 years golf course. So,I am vulnerable by virtue of my age and slight hypertension, but basically still in control of my own destiny in terms of risky behavior. No live shows this year means I will probably be viewing, buying, and selling in the virtual marketplace to a greater extent this year! We are fortunate that our online marketplace is already well-developed with a network of vetted sellers and collectors. That's me back row blue plaid. Best, David S. Albright
  7. I have a few 11 X 17 prints from previous ownership or bootleg scan grabs, they are all clearly marked on the reverse as such. No obvious value, not for resale, for example. Helpful for future handlers. Actual original art is also lightly marked on the reverse with relevant info. Someone will be dealing with it. My mother did the same thing with her antiques. Much appreciated! Best, David S. Albright
  8. If you make a purchase from the seller, there is a review capability. This auction "house" is in Peru and has zero feedback. David
  9. There is a shift going on due to the uncertainty around this virus. My 70 year old brother died today with complications, including the new virus, at a nursing home here in northwest Vermont, a hotspot in an otherwise quiet state. Vermont is starting a slow reopening with two-person landscape and construction teams returning to work. But, outdoor festivals and fairs are cancelling through July, and will likely continue to cancel until there are some breakthroughs in testing and treatment abilities. It really affects artists and sole proprietors. So, we should be thankful for what we have here in the online world. I know I appreciate it! I am attaching a tribute scan of a concert sidebill my brother Stephen created for his Rock and Roll band in 1982. He was a song composer and lead guitarist. Best, David S. Albright
  10. My own personal Krazy Kat! David Believed to be by Jay Disbrow, from a coloring book circa 1950s?
  11. Funny! When I spent $110 in 1995 on art, I came home shaking and hoping my wife was okay with it. Stuff is worth thousands now. David
  12. Check it out, David I have nothing in this auction, I think some art collectors might be interested. David
  13. Actually, depending on the grade, replaced staples do not affect the grade. IIRC, there is even a distinction between modern and vintage staple replacement in Overstreet. Of course, any restoration should be disclosed, but in lower grades might not affect value. David
  14. Update reflects the sale of the FELIX story, gone to a good home. The 1958 Berrys strip art continuity and Little Lulu Brazil story are still available. Best, David
  15. Cool, my interest in Strange Tales has been after #135, the earlier available issues (to me) were too pricey, low grade, or unavailable. Maybe that is the attraction? Probably issues printed ramped up at that point. David
  16. Nice, love the AH Batman/Batgirl page! Glad you got a Kirby, too. Spidey, Wolvie, great! David
  17. I have stuff acquired 25 years ago that I am not selling. I do sell, or try to sell, some other art that I have in abundance or has gone out of favor with me in the context of my collection. So, call me partial black hole, grey hole? Offer me a gaziillion, and then we'll talk. Most people have a price if it is large enough. I'm no exception. David
  18. Yeah, I have reflections on the brothers, but, it is not all bad. My sense is they got in early, or were gifted a bunch of art, got burned, and decided to refresh their selling model which has held to this day. I have sold to (them). Outsider Dave David S. Albright
  19. The long time dealers with deep inventory are not in a big rush to sell at fire sale prices. What would be the point? Because of the rising market, they can stand to wait for the buyer that really desires that specific piece. This approach has worked for them in the past, and will continue as long as the model works. David
  20. Love the mob type criminal so appropriate for Jack at that time. Great cover! David
