    Batman #1

    $53 w 16 bids.

It had 188K print run for the first issue.

Here I thought selling it for $22 was a good idea.

I am still snagging them for $25 - $30 apiece from a couple of LCSs as they slowly leak out their last few copies. In both cases the owners were shocked at how fast they went, especially the store that supposedly ordered 600 copies.

I bought one on friday for $14. Sold it for $35 via text an hour later.

Batman #1 is not a hard to find book if you look hard enough.

I'm still surprised at how cheap #2 is comparitively...but it has been moving upward pretty quickly...

  2. Is The Massive from Dark Horse worth picking up? A LCS has #1 up still on the shoes at cover.

The regular or the variant? I think The Massive is one of the best series currently running.

I picked up the regular #1 signed by Wood $5. One of my favorite covers.

I actually bought that one from Midtown's website last summer. And Ryan hooked me up with the variant when TFAW had them for like $1. The first arc variants (#1-#3) are the ones to own if anything ever happens with this series.

And has anyone been paying attention to the prices of the first American Vampire arc?

Only in so much as one of my LCSs have a box full of #1s they would love to sell at cover...

  3. speaking of titles I liked, why you guys no speak about burn the orphanage.

I preordered 10 copies 2 months ago and the store I get my pulls from didn't do my pulls last week. They had 3 copies left for me!

Anyways, it should have potential because

    1. video game tie-in

    2. creator cross north america tour

    3. it sold out before hitting retail

I'm just going to post this picture because its what I'm thinking about right now

Yeah but Jimmy, I was rareing for it too, but it's awful, 9 out of 10 comic readers agree. I have copies too, but I think they may have to be used to handle my ferret's poo...oh it looked good, preview tight, talent tight, sold out before it came out....then you read it, and kept saying to yourself...this might be an in joke, but it doesn't really make sense to me. Sorry mate, you can't polish this turd. But be careful as the paper is like fingerprint ink pad...don't touch it....

  4. next week seems pretty slow....

'It Came' from Titan Comics is worth a serious look....a mystery theatre 3000 ish comic. Probably a tiny print run.....In general titan comics is doing well in the secondary market...who knew?

I've gotten some requests for 'activity' which I though was pretty much dead....special forces but in the boring 'reality' manner.....

Clone's still doing pretty well, I think due to the show being just around the corner, and it's higher then average potential to being made....

  5. I have a DF of locke and key #1....

It's the same cover on slightly less good paper, with a DF on it ( oh and limited to 3000 ) WTF, I have a printer too....I mean if your not going to go through the effort of getting it signed, or a different cover...some value added. It's scarcity for scarcity's sake only.

  6.

FedEx and UPS. And same to those jackwads at FedEx.

    I love USPS. :cloud9:

    +10000

    to UPS

"So you only deliver during the day, when EVERYONE works??

    Si.

"and you make 3 delivery attempts within 7 days, and if you can't deliver, you ship right back to the sender?"

    Si.

"and you only have one pick-up outlet, that's 30 min away from most parts of the city?"

    Si.

Ya, around Christmas I left that outlet, and (not intentially), busted the window on the door as I left in anger.

WORST. SYSTEM. EVER. (if it's not business shipping).

I once got a post card from Canada Post saying they could not deliver my package because they couldn't find my address....

  7.

Normal shipping with no tracking, no signature is going to be a lot cheaper. Probably $10 or so, but ya, to cover your butt, it's going to be at least $18. And ya, more if it's packed well.

Actually from canada, I ship using the 'document rate'. It has to be under 200 grams which is just about right for a comic in a current sized bag and back and well secured cardboard. That's 4-5 bucks making it competitive...
