  1. I have yet to have a comic that I have sent damaged in the shipping...but I am knocking on wood...

I use a modified cardboard sandwich, with a little bubble wrap on the corners....It would be very difficult to bend that.....the post person not only must ignore my instructions on both sides, but really expend a good deal of effort...

  2. Good luck with that, I just sold a 1-3 regular for 55...and I'm pretty sure I could have gotten 60....sold in a couple of hours

Okay I'm in regular contact with a couple of my LCSs and they are telling me that their Tales of Honor covers are all bad....I went to the big one around and found a few good ones...but cover D seems to be generally bad....

This comic has Hawkins, a video game, a movie, seems pretty small print runs judging by my LCSs....and it's very cheap still....I didn't buy a lot cause the story seemed a little dull, but first issue you know....

  3.

I sold a set for 54.99 1-3....I even kinda wish I had listed it higher as it sold in a few hours....

Not sure why this is SO hot....I wonder if someone knows something and it's connected to ECCC?

  4. Well maybe...but this book seems pretty popular among people who actually picked it up...not hearing many people say..read it and oh hum...

Prior to a show announcement it had a small premium for #1...that gives me hope...but for whatever reason, though, at the moment it can still be picked up for cheap...people been saying they were tired of this for a while now...but then sandman and preacher happened....

I think that each step in the process brings it's own price spike...a cast member gets proposed...spike...a pilot is green lit...spike...to me it seems that speculation is accelerating...news generates interest, interest generates demand...

Now this book has a pretty limited print run, relatively...about 7,000 a cover...

  5. Alias for what it was brillant at the time. I re-read 1 the other day and I still like it. I like it more today then I did back then prolly because I hated Bendis back then.

Its going to be the easiest to make a TV show in my opinion because it doesnt need as much and can be easiest to relate to I think.

    Speaking of Alias heating up . . . . linky-dink

    That's a good read.

    Nice sale, rabnuD. (thumbs u

It was a best offer acceptance right? so we still dunno how much it went for....I just raised my price but they all passed me over and I have one for 17.99

  6. These are just the issues I bought originally and sold to my buddy. He's in the middle of a move, so he sold them back to me at a good price. Luckily, Kevin Eastman was cool enough to sign the first 6 issues and draw a little turtle on them.

Anyone have any clue what kind of extra value that would add?

I think signing a comic adds about 5-10 dollars from someone famous like eastmen or hotish...but that can all depend, I got something chadwick signed and I don't think it'll bring 5 bucks, on the other hand I got Wiebi to sign some stuff and it goes up about 5 bucks? The little sketch is known as a 'remark' and it can add an equal amount to the signature 5-10 I would guess....having a full set of something gives you an easier sell and means you can ask for a little more...

I'd try for 125 and titrate the price down...

  7. 60 bucks for a 1:100

I have some keyish batmans 1:100s that are 30-40 bucks AND not selling quickly, so I would say that that's doing pretty well....

DC's idea of just taking to color away and making it rare is a poor incentive cover...how about just getting a nice cover off a popular artist? getting Stan to sign it or something...

  8. I saw the colorist working on #8 at a cafe....we had a chat about how cool this series was...he did not mention that it was ending...but comiserated with me about the 20 issues of #1 I have in my closet...

Seemed like a very nice and down to earth guy....

Course I walked around the block and saw someone working on adventure time, not to mention that Christmas, Brandon Graham and Brisson all live around there too...

Seems like Vancouver is indie central...

  9. how do I know or find out?
Ask the artist or agent. (shrug)

This. Or if you have a specific question about the process, ask in the Original Art forum - lots of guys knowledgable about the process plus some creators occasionally chime in.

Those are some mighty fine ideas...cept the one where you say I should contact the agent....you do know that agent coulson is not a real person...right
