  1.

yeah I got one up for 23....and it doesn't even have a watcher on it...( just put it up yesterday though ). so I think someone is gonna be mighty disappointed...

  2. Southern Bastards drops 17%. (shrug)

I thought the numbers on this would stay higher. This story is great imo.

    That's just speculator drop off.

I think you're right. I believe the first 2 books were returnable if they met certain stipulations. (shrug)

Okay but comic shops have to order 3 months ahead of time to guarantee they will get the issues....generally they order big on #1 and drop heavily off on 2 and 3...that means a lot less of 2 and 3 get printed and available for last minute re-orders too...print runs can't really respond to popularity until issues 4 and above...

I do believe that people are going to someday look at the low print run number of issues 2 and 3 and re-evaluate their relative values.

Look at batman new 52....the smallest print run was #2, and just about the only issue in the first 6 issues that DID NOT have 2nd print...even is the first Talon....buttttt it's not worth as much as #3..... but someday....

  3. This is one book that I dont find the need to defend. Speculators will never understand the potential of this book from numbers because they dont realize the huge and dedicated fanbase and the demographics of this book. Rat Queens #1 WILL command a 100.00+ price tag once the show hits because unlike many other TV shows it has the base core fanbase already set and MASSIVE commercial appeal. Once the trigger is pulled, this will blow up. Overnight.

What about the staples variant? $500?? i need to find that darn thing....

no no....I have a few of those and they don't sell right now for 100...signed or unsigned...

I a bunch of months ago I had a strain #1 up for 15 bucks and it did not sell...

  4. All these posts made me think something popped on eBay... Hence the thread title.

Good point. The supply is supposedly limited, let's see if the demand remains

    AoS 14

    AoS 14 Completed

A book heating up based on its merits and not TV/movie spec. Fancy that (thumbs u

speaking as one of the completed auctions at 13.99....

The sold really quickly at that price....I found some more and raised the price a little, but I don't expect any trouble selling them at that...it's a long weekend, people bored with the family thing are on their computers more....it's one of the rare times where it's a sellers market on ebay....

  5. Sonic Variant 259 Auction

It has started…and yet no one knows why it was recalled. I actually bought the reg and variant cover today at the comic shop (one one copy each…at cover) and briefly went through them for curiosity reasons. Only thing different between the two is Front Cover and the last page (which it says there are two different endings…one for the each cover). Have no idea what is up unless it's hidden or so obvious no one thinks it would be an issue on first look.

Tidbit: It's Ian Flynn's 100th issue with the Sonic series.

It was recalled because it had an add for a TPB of a Mature Readers Comic in it. The Regular Cover didn't have that add only the Subscription Variant had the Add. The publisher felt that an Add for a Mature Readers Comic didn't belong in a Kids Comic. Plus the Add for the Mature Readers Comic was out of date. The add was for a TPB that came out in 2011. This Variant also has a corrected version of it without the add.

If both of your books have the exact same contents inside than you have the corrected Variant not the Recalled Variant.

It's something very similar to the Scooby Doo Where are You!

    #7 Advert Error.

well I looked in my copy of the variant and there was nothing that I could see that would merit mature....

  6. so where do you think the staples variant is going? that's the only one i have. seems to be selling for $35 or so raw right now with lots of high asks

Well I sold one for 90 bucks ( signed )...so I raised the price....cause it sold the day after I put it up...bin 110 or so...it's high or maybe I am..we'll see, I can always lower the price...

  7. Sonic already has a nice little following. If you find nice copies of the first 150 or so issues in the dollar bins, or less, I suggest picking them up.

    I would also buy:

    Justice League Europe 37

    Superman 62

    Detective Comics 639

    Electronic Gamer Monthly Oct 1991

Disney Adventures November 1991 ( sonic mini comic ) This might be the first appearance of Darkwing Duck too but I do not know for sure.

Dude, you are a walking encyclopedia of obscure (and sometimes questionable) first appearances (thumbs u

    He really is.

I think he may have a mutant power....

I found a justice league europe 33 with a sonic mini comic...u sure about 37?

  8. V Wars is awesome! It's not just a typical vampire storyline. The writer has alluded to many different directions this will explore. He is also absolutely sure this will be a TV show. His other novel which will be adapted into comic book format is already in talks of becoming a movie. Google Jonathan Maberry - great guy, great writer.

which is why I can't figure out why the FCBD issue isn't selling for me....I mean it IS the first appearance right?

  9. no it's worth more then 35 dollars to the buyer...if it was worth the same they wouldn't part with the 35 bucks....

If I buy a comic, I want it to be worth more then I paid for it...so a simple refund if it all goes bad, doesn't cut it sometimes...esp if I got a great deal on an auction and the buyer suddenly 'damaged/lost/stolen'....

  10. I just picked up a bunch of southern bastards...lying in wait like some harlot on the comic shelves....cause I just heard from an australian collector that Australia go 0 of these bad boys....I'm wondering is the print run was very light but with returnablility and the obvious quality of story and art...there just weren't enough to make it out that way...?
