It depends on what you’ve been collecting. If you have top tier artists drawing characters they are known for you could get decent money but if your collection is made up of some offbeat theme or character then not so much.

Awesome! Thanks for the info.

Does anyone what title/issue this TMNT page is from? Also I think the artist is Jason Temujin Minor but I’m not certain.

I haven't been keeping up with the character for quite a while but some quick googling seems to indicate the latest storyline involved supernatural powers and Dr. Strange? seems whether he lived or died the direction they've taken the character is so removed from what he was that it doesn't matter. IMO the best Punisher stories were always the ones removed from the rest of the Marvel superhero universe (and yes, I know he started as a Spider-Man villain), like the Zeck mini-series and Romita Jr. War Zone issues. I doubt the latest story/death will affect the value of art, I know it won't affect my interest in 80's/90's pieces at all.

that image came from Al Bigley's blog, maybe he know's where that piece was used. you can contact him here: https://www.albigley.com/contact

FS Frank Miller Spidey 1 and Daredevil 1 cover OA
MIL0S replied to drdonaldblake1's topic in Original Comic Art
I don't care for the DD pose, took a minute of looking at it to figure out the intent. Price seems bonkers for a brand new piece. -
yeah, that piece looked all kinds of wrong. looks like someone at HA took a closer look at it and the lot has been withdrawn. what are the odds it pops up on ebay?

I've noticed the stream of Terry strips and the wide range of prices. is it known where they are coming from, is it the collection of some long time Terry collector being liquidated?
-
agree with that, I've gotten burned a few times by some big names and won't do that again... but I took the gamble with David Peterson back in 2010 at New York Comic Con. The con was on October 8th and I commissioned a pet portrait of my girlfriends dog and he assured me that I'd have it in time to be a Christmas gift and true to his word I received the art about a month later. I got another commission from David last year through his website when his commission list opened up and although I don't recall the exact dates it was delivered quickly within the stated timeframe. Ernie Chan was another great artist to deal with for mail order commission, super prompt and a gentlemen.
