  1. FYI, there's a Sienkiewicz Artifact Edition with a large Warlock sketch currently listed on ebay.
  2. Check the Heritage Auctions archive, there are many pieces that sold recently.
  3. Agreed. I would be annoyed if those were my consignments.
  4. John Buscema & ‘The Tribe’: Savage Sword of Conan #5 pg 61: The credits on this story are "ART: JOHN BUSCEMA and THE TRIBE". On the letters pages 'the tribe' is described this way: " Oh, and incidentally, the members of Tony deZuniga's talented "Tribe" which inked and embellished this issue's classic tale are: Steve Gan, who handled the Falcon and the "bad guys" - Rudy Mesina and Freddie Fernandez, who inked the minor characters and most of the backgrounds - Pete Lijauco, who did the gray-tones with Mr. deZ's help and supervision - and of course Tony himself, who handled Conan and many of the other major characters - including the ladies, naturally. (The boss gets all the breaks!) "
  5. Yes, I know the content, my question was is this the only book in this oversized format or are there any others?
  6. Although not an artist edition, this book is Artist Edition sized, and I was wondering if this was a one off or part of a series of books?
  7. I came across this giant (13”x21”) hardcover and was wondering if this was a one off or part of a series of books?
  8. Can anyone confirm that Rob Schrab held onto most of his Scud art? There are only 15 pages (from the 24 issue run) plus a handful of sketches on CAF making Scud art rare as hens teeth... I have only come across 3 pages for sale on eBay one time which I bought (though there is a sweet sketch on eBay right now...).
  9. I can’t speak for others but I personally would assume any future buyers will put zero value in my framing. I’ve purchased a few pieces that were framed and I usually ask for piece to be removed and shipped by itself, there is less chance of damage and it’s cheaper, and even if I’m planning on framing a piece I usually don’t like the sellers frame.
  10. I’ve been storing 2-3 folios per drawer for a few years with no problems.
  11. IKEA has a small cabinet with drawers perfect for storing 11x17 folios flat. https://m2.ikea.com/us/en/p/alex-drawer-unit-on-casters-white-40196241/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI7ZndlpPp4AIVmYvICh3iXA33EAQYASABEgIt2vD_BwE
  12. The Prohias stuff is great! I love Sergio Aragones’ MAD material and have a few pieces.
  13. Not quite a “commission” but close enough for this thread, Rob Schrab creator of Scud the Disposable Assassin did a cool promotion on his Instagram, for the 25th anniversary he did a one day deal where he included a free sketch with any purchase from his ebay store. I jumped on it but wasn’t sure what to expect, I figured maybe a bust but was pleasantly surprised when I opened it and saw it was a full figure...
  14. Does anyone know if Sergio Aragones has retired from convention appearances? It’s been years since I’ve seen him listed as a guest anywhere. The man is 81 so it’s perfectly understandable if that is the case.
  15. Although not a Harley I have a great pencil Red Sonja piece for sale, it is on 8.5"x11" cardstock, price is $500, same price I paid Albert Moy and as a bonus I'll include an unpublished xerox sketchbook of Timm pinups/nudes.
  16. hm, initials could be a P and O but that sig does not match up with the signatures on CAF unless he's drastically changed the way he signs.
  17. uhh, the march of time... The last time I encountered him was at Baltimore con 2013 and at that time he had non-Hellboy pieces for as little as $100-150 and pencil Hellboy head sketches for $250. That's where I picked up the Lobster Johnson 'claw guy' sketch I posted above for $100 (and its on 8.5"x11" paper). I wish I had snapped up a few more pieces when I had the chance. Anthony Snyder was behind me and cleaned out his portfolio and immediately sold pieces for double and triple Mignola's prices...
  18. Here's an inked illustration that was printed in one of Mignola's con sketchbooks, with additional pencil sketches on back: and here's a cool convention sketch from the early days when you could actually get a full figure sketch at a show: and another random concept sketch:
  19. Anyone recognize this signature/art? Any info is much appreciated.
  20. I'd say that's a match, thanks for the info. and pretty obscure, there's just one piece of his on CAF and the link you posted is the only dealer piece I saw...
  21. bump. really, no one recognizes a single one? usually someone chimes in with the correct info almost instantly, these must be obscure...
