  1. Betty and Veronica #41 Classic cover and hard to find! Bright colors and nicely presenting. Notice the small tear at the top of the cover between the "s" in Archie's and "G" in "Girls." Both this and the above #37 have nice supple page quality with white or off-white pages. Very nice copies. I'll call it a 5.5-6.0 for $475.
  2. Betty and Veronica #37 Very nice presenting double headlight cover. This would be a 7.0-8.0 range if not for two defects. There is dust shadow along the bottom and outside edge of both front and back cover (more prominent on the back cover). There is also some loss of gloss on the cover where the book came in contact with water or something. When you hold the cover at an angle you can see the loss of gloss. It is most prominent by Betty's hips and the tree. You can see a small spot in the dust shadow in the lower right next to Veronica's leg. Call it a nice presenting 6.0. An 8.0 just sold for $300. Let's do $135.
  3. Just a short sales thread with some Archie titles. The highlight is B&V #41. The rules: Shipping to the US is included. Int'l please inquire. Returns within 7 days of receipt. Payment by Paypal, check, MO.
  4. X-men #94 raw 4.5 - $190 shipped Paypal, check or MO accepted. Returns within 7 days. US only. Int'l inquire This is a decent presenting copy with normal wear. There are creases in the lower left corner on the back cover that are hard to see in the scan. Centerfold is firmly attached at both staples.
  5. Here's a small group of Archie titles. Most are 10 and 12 cent cover price. There are few giant size 25 cent issues (early to mid 1960s) and one 15 cent and one 20 cent cover. There is a total of 25 books. Average grade is VG/F-ish. Some are lower and some are a bit better. I was going to start a thread for these books individually, but would rather just sell them as a lot. $200 shipped to the continental US. That is $8 a books for 1950s/1960s Archie titles. There are some nice GGA covers including a body paint cover. Returns in 7 days. Paypal, check, MO accepted.
  6. I think I picked up the Crown Comics from the same guy. Lots of ratty bags and boxes. I grabbed a small stack of golden age books he had mixed in with other stuff. I didn't bother to look over the silver and bronze stuff as it's not my primary focus these days. We had limited time as we had to be back in Ohio by 4ish. Otherwise, there were some booths I would have liked to spend more time at.
  7. Which booth was that? My best pick up at the show was Crown Comics #7 - a tough Baker cover. I already have a copy. So, I need to compare which to keep. It wasn't $2, but still a deal.
  8. I've had a few offers on books I have won. I just received an offer a week or so ago. I was traveling when it came in and didn't respond in time. I may have countered if I was within the time window. The problem for me with the offers is that I am not watching or expecting them. I don't actively have the book(s) for sale. So, when an offer comes I have to check if 1) I still have it, 2) it is in the same condition as purchased (de-slabbed?), 3) do I want to sell it and 4) at what price. Contrast that to a book I have listed on eBay. I know what it is and where it is at. I've also already listed a price. My turn around time on such an unsolicited offer is a lot longer than an eBay listing. I just completed a deal with a boardie for something I did not have for sale. It took several weeks of back and forth before we came to terms as I wasn't prepared to let these particular items go (one of a kind). All my incoming offers have been on harder to find GA books (the latest on some EC romance) and most have been raw. I suppose if I was getting offers on slabbed copper or bronze books that I could replace easily, I would respond faster. Getting an offer on a book I took two or more years to find is very different. If there was more open communication on Heritage, I could respond differently by letting a buyer know that I need more time to think about an offer.
  9. I know this can be used on multiple items if you add them to your cart and buy them all at once. Does it also work on multiple best offers? If two sellers accept my offers and I pay both at once, will both items qualify for the discount?
  10. I read it too quickly and thought I had more time. So, I got nothing...
  11. Yes, that is it. I have some pre and post code Canteen Kate scans I should post. The censors were pretty heavy handed there if I remember correctly.
  12. That's similar to Steranko's Nick Fury where the censored panels may be more risque than the uncensored panels.
