  1. From the "My eBay" drop down tab in the top right corner: Choose "summary" then "account" and then "addresses" "Ship from address" should be the third one from the top.
  2. That has been my experience as a seller too. eBay started offering Standard International Delivery for parcels under 6 pounds. More of what I sell on eBay is non-comic related, but it is a better experience for the customer. The difference is that Standard does not pre-pay custom duties. It is on the buyer to pay them at delivery if applicable. I think eBay charges duties at a greater rate than what would be due. At least, that is what buyers have said. I truly have no frame of reference. eBay Strandard International Delivery gives the seller the same protections as GSP. Seller responsibility ends with deliverying the goods to a US eBay location. Example shipping costss: Canada is $11 for up to 8 ounces and $17 for up to a pound.
  3. Curious if they also listed it at your sales price? The few listings I clicked on were BIN without a "make an offer" option.
  4. Refernce to the movie Wall Street. Blue Horseshoe was code for an insider trading tip. "Blue Horseshoe loves Anacott Steel..."
  5. I mentioned in another thread that I would pay stupid money for an actual Greg Lemond raced pro bike. Well, here it is...This took a while to get the deal done, but I am very pleased. This was raced in the US and Europe by Greg Lemond in 1981, his first pro season. The pic on the wall is him winning the Nevada City Classic on this bike very bike. This is pretty much as he left it in 1981 including the Bernard Hinualt tubular tires that still hold air (won't be putting too many miles on those...). We gently cleaned the bike and it is ready to ride. If it wasn't cold and wet here, I would have already taken this out. How many times do you get to use the equipment of a elite athlete? Pretty excited about this purchase.
  6. That's cool, but not $1000 cool. $100 and I would probably consider it.
  7. That was offered here wasn't it? Was it raw when you bought it? It is a cool sun fade. Reminds me of the toning on a silver dollar.
  8. Is this reprints of US material or is it original content?
  9. There ain't no good in an evil-hearted womanAnd I ain't cut out to be no Jesse JamesAnd you don't go writing hot cheques down in MississippiAnd there ain't no good chain gang
  10. Does this one bother you too from an infringement standpoint? Or, is it just Peanuts?
  11. homebsexycool777-2 Made an offer on a book that I accepted (near $1000). No response and no payment. Must have forgot to block him after that. A couple weeks later, he makes an offer on the same book. Not thinking to check the ID, I accept. Again, no response and no payment. I made sure to block him this time...
  12. I didn't know he drew water towers in several books. What books did he draw them in? Cap 235 he is credited as "water tower consultant" on the first page.
  13. The last page of issue #12 introducing Kiss to comics is still one of my favorite pages of the bronze age.
  14. Here is one more Golden age centric. Somehow I was given pictures of a comic lot for sale. I don't remember where or how those pictures came to me. It was a box of golden age stuff that the guy acquired through a house clean out or something similar. There were some good stuff in the pics - the cover to Detective #40 and some early Batmans. The stuff was pretty rough. He wanted a nominal amount - $500 or so. It was pretty sketchy. I thought it was a scam. I ended up talking to the guy on the phone several times. No paypal, no check. He wanted Western Union money wired to him. I spoke with a local comic store and asked if they would broker the deal for a fee. They were honest (but a bit slimey) and said if they guy brought the books in (he was known for selling random finds) and they were good, he would keep them for himself instead of brokering the deal for me. Against my better judgement, I wired him the money and was on the phone when he mailed the books. I received a box of pieces and parts and several complete books. In the pieces and parts were the rest of the Detective #40 minus a few non-Batman pages and Batman 2, 4 ,8 ,16 and some others I can't remember. This was 6-8 years ago. Last year, I sent a few of the books to CGC. I'll dig them out and post pics. There is more to the story. They guy contacted me a few weeks later saying he had more books. He sent me pics of some early World's Finest. We struck another deal. This was similar to the first in which I didn't really know what was in the lot besides the few I could see. Money was about the same. I wired him the money and then...crickets. Didn't answer the phone. Didn't respond to emails. Maybe that was his long game? To set me up and scam me on deal #2. So, all in I am in for $1000 or so on the books. Still a deal.
  15. Was at a local comic shop in Northeast OH and talking to the owner. A guy walked in and said he had some comics in his trunk. Would the shop be interested in looking? The shop owner passed. I got the OK from the owner to take a look. I walked out to the car and the guy had 11 books in the trunk. He wanted $12. In the middle of the pile was a Hulk 181. This was quite a while ago, but it was still a find. I didn't haggle. EDIT: We're in the golden age forum...I'll think of another one.
  16. I regularly bid on Heritage. Is the above true? Can you provide a source?
  17. What universities? There is this speculation that institutions are buying comics. As much as prices have increased, liquidity is still very low for true institutional investing (not talking Rally Road).
  18. What investment firms are buying or recommending comics?
