  1. Every time I met Joe, he greeted me with a smile and loved talking art and books. What a gentle soul- we have lost a great one. I still tell everyone that he told me I was the best looking Boy Wonder he’s seen besides Burt Ward. He’s done many charity events and gave back to our community because that’s who he was. I’m fortunate enough to have gotten a Robin sketch from him. @Jeffery Harnett Thank you for your support of Joe and the fans. I know you were Joe’s biggest fan! God bless all. Our prayers are with you and the family.

I did get a call from my detective on the case today.  Somebody did try to pawn some books,  unfortunately they were CGC books and not mine.

At least they are still working on my case.

This is great news! Let’s hope these guys get caught and you get some/all the books back! The Island is small so hopefully they’ll mess up and sell to the wrong person.

I could swear this collection came from a friend of mine when I was much younger. He literally had a box of those New Teen Titans 2 issues when they came out. Man, I was envious.

I’m on Long Island, and once found a collection with 17 copies of NTT2, 10 sets of She-Hulk 1-12, and multiples of many random issues. Nothing else spectacular. It was definitely fun spreading those copies on a table.

I agree with most and would not advertise it to the world. He should’ve held back wanting attention, but in our society driven by “likes,” he just couldn’t resist. Again, the deal isn’t even complete. Crazy.

Here's a straight-up copy/paste from the Comic Room Showcase thread, but as the room is exclusively TMNT, I figured I'd share it here:

    Hello All!

FINALLY got around to doing something I've been talking about for literally years now.  We've been in our house for a while and I've always had this space carved out for my collection, but it's always been an unfinished room with exposed lumber, beams, and ducts along with a concrete floor with a (non-rectangular) carpet remnant on it.  Now we've added another outlet, finished the walls and ceiling, painted, and put down some carpet with a proper pad underneath.  The difference is night and day.  Take a look:

    After:

I made the choice to go with a green carpet with a pale green carpet so the room would feel even more unique in our house.  Additionally, I think it goes well with my collecting focus, which as anyone who knows me would tell you is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

There are a number of things I would still like to do:

    • My main method of comic storage is the modular Comic Cube setup.  I got these in 2020 and I absolutely LOVE them.  The drawers are very sturdy and the fact that they're modular make them reasonable to move myself if necessary.  I like them so much that I already put in another order for a smaller 2x3 setup for magazine-sized books to hold my magazine slabs and some overflow raws and hardcovers.  Currently they're still in standard comic boxes in the corner that isn't showcased.  I hope to provide an update later this year once the Comic Cube is done and in-place.
    • I've got a few art pieces that are already earmarked for professional framing and now I've got the space on the wall for them.  Again, I'll update once I get them.
    • I'd like to 3D print and paint a 1/4 scale Mouser or two to display with my 1990 Turtles in the display case.  Just a fun side project to work on.
    • Now that I know the space I'm working with, I'll probably let go of a few pieces that I don't think I'd plan on displaying so I can fund these other plans.  It's a vicious cycle.  lol

Anyway, I'm very excited and just wanted to share.  Thanks for looking!

:ohnoez:(worship) Wowza!!!! The room is gearing up to be legendary! Actually, it already is. Congrats. To display the Turtle Greatness is a beautiful thing. I forgot you had so many killer pieces. That’s a lot of beautiful covers- Oh my!!! Kirby too :x

Definitely! Exclusive to this community only!! Looking forward to making purchases also and being a regular buyer and seller Thanks for the warm welcomes, and how do I 'bump' the timeframe is when it falls off the feed?

This is a great place to buy, sell, and meet some great people. Regarding bumping a thread, you are allowed to bump it once a day. You could post bump, adjust the price, or add another book. You could as as many books as you want to this single thread. You could also start a thread in Golden/Silver/Bronze if you have books from those eras.
