  1. A keeper...congrats!! This thing is Baaa-Naaaaa-Naaasss. Wow!! I knew you must have been waiting on something big. Really looks stunning man!! A big Gray-Guy Congrats.
  2. I agree with RW. I sometimes find cool stuff, but that must have brought a major smile to your face, especially when you had been looking for a set in the past. Of course, those pins are just bad-azzz too. Congrats!
  3. Sam had a WTB for a Doc169 and I coincidentally had just what he needed. He paid instantly and was awesome to talk to. I wouldn't hesitate to do more biz again. Thank you!
  4. Jerry's super-easy to talk to and deal with. He bought a book, paid instantly, and had great communication throughout. I look forward to more deals between us. Definitely a pleasure. Thank you!!
  5. Randall is a cool dude, has great taste in books, and bought a Spidey slab and paid with the stealth of a slinging web. Pleasant to talk to, and smooth deal from start to finish. I wouldn't hesitate to deal with him again. Thanks bro!
  6. Only way I could reasonably afford one, unfortunately! I still think I made out okay. No trimming, and I think it really does present well (at the risk of sounding cliche). Big big Congrats. Look at that bad boy, and just smile. It looks like a F- and def nicer than the grade. That's all that counts. No chipping, deep colors!
  7. Was this an auction? If not, I imagine it sold immediately. That's a fantastic buy!!! Wow. Not sure it was a fantastic buy look at the bottom staple it is full of rust!! Yes, but Still a beautiful presenting 4.0, no chipping, with OW paper as well. A 4.0 for under $15K that has OW or better with no chip is fantastic- hands down. That is what I am trying to say it went cheap because the staples are rusted badly and will likely end up ruining the book further over time. Most collectors would rather a bit of chipping over rust any day of the week. The chipping is not going to get worse over time unless badly handled. When something looks to good to be true it usually is and involves problems most do not want. Buy the book not the holder as they say!! Buying nice presenting AF's are getting tougher and tougher. Will they sell either way- Yes. I agree to buy the book, not the grade. I agree with Gator though, and would rather have an ugly, rusty staple than ugly chipping. Chipping on an AF is a major detractor to me. Other books, not so much. It's of course a matter of opinion. I look at a lot of 4.0's, as I have one, and I rarely see ones that present like this, with this paper. Again, just a matter of opinion.

  10. +1 I grew up with the X-Men, and loved it!!!! I think they had some good character development of the new characters. Can't wait for the next one. I wanted more action, but loved Quicksilver, and Prof. X showed his leadership old school style. Made me smile.
  11. Great pieces. I'm a little jealous of TurtleBat! I was trying to convince my wife's months ago that I wanted a TurtleBat for our son- Yeah- I tried the son thing. We "need" a TurtleBat. Shameless I tell you Well, she saw right through me- she knows the passion for Eastman and Batman- Dohhhhhh-- It won't be the last time I try the "son thing"- MuHahh Hahh Hahh
  12. Chuck sent me a beautiful TOS39, next day, with bulletproof packing. Great guy too. Couldn't be happier. Thanks.
  13. ..."the big Sidekick." I hope that this sidekick doesn't read these forums or you'll be sleeping on "the big sofa." that was good. I actually meant the 76 year old sidekick. The best sidekick in history. When I made the decision to get him, I had to sacrifice a lot. Buttt, yes, my other sidekick wants me to take a chill pill with the books, so, you are correct in the end Ah yiss.... Congrats man. I'm happy it's in good hands. It looks beautiful. To the cereal ad, I think that's a cool piece. The girl surely looks Poltergeistish. I would encourage all turtle fans to check out the Crazy amount of advertising and commericals TMNT did back in the late 80's early 90's. I'll try to send a link, but they are bugged out, and really make you want some turtle snacks. Who remembers Green Turtle Pies. They were actually pretty good

  15. Ok, I have turtlemania on the brain. 1) Who will sell me a raw Turtlemania regular 2) Who will get it signed for me by Laird and Eastman. 3) Yes, I will pay you a nice fee, or nice Turtle sketch 4) I know Peter only signs a few items, so if you are only getting 1-2 items and don't have a 3rd send me a pm. Thanks!!! My plan was to go to Maine myself, but the big Sidekick got in the way.
  16. I've been lucky enough to find and acquire 2 copies of Turtlemania Silver and I did so with the intent of having one eventually help fund the purchase of a Gold some day. I'm not ready to sell one at this time but should a Gold ever turn up for sale...you'd hear from me. You're a smart man!!! In all seriousness, definitely send me a pm for sure. I had to get some other big dawgs before it, but I will soon be ready. Your collection is bananas bro. I believe you. Me wants the lucky Gold!!!!!!
  17. I know that he isn't the biggest fan of the original cartoon but I have two cel's from the show that I have signed by Eastman and all the turtles in each cel. Has anyone been to this an seen him sign cel's or do you think he'd outright reject them? I figure I should get some information before I make the 9 hour drive. He signed one for me last time I loved that episode with Usagi!!! Great cell. I think I've seen it before. I love the sig by the guy who signed above Donny- Big Stan, and with a turtle head sketch- Nice! You don't see him do those too often
  18. Just a heads up, I'm selling some SS sketches by Talbot (Donny), Lawson (Casey), and Dooney (Fugitoid). I'm also selling a big Eastman Venus prototype pinup/sketch. Since they are pretty nice, I have to give the heads up. I'm after the Grail that's 76 years old and some of my "pretties" have to go. To RW, I've been following all this interesting convo about the Turtlemanias, and have avoided posting due to the fact that I've been extremely tempted to -try- and pry that 2nd silver from your hands. I imagine that it's locked tightly in your hands anyway. One day in the near future I'll start my hunt. Kaylab, they sound awesome. I'd love to see a pic if possible. That's a legendary set.
  19. Dave bought a big book, paid instantly, and it's always as easy as 1-2-3 when you deal with Dave. Great communication, and as solid as they come around here. Thanks bro! Always a pleasure.
  20. Wes sent me an awesome, rare book, next day. He's top notch in my book. Thanks!!
  21. Jerry's a cool dude, paid instantly for a nice slab, pleasant communication, and super smooth transaction. I wouldn't hesitate to do biz again. Thanks!
  22. The thing about the show is, as you keep watching more episodes those things that make us smirk and question their reality or the "realness factor" of the show make more and more sense and your left wanting to watch more and smiling. I'm definitely one to want more out of a superhero show or movie, but not this one. I've never seen such great character development and wittiness. The show is the best hands down. I also don't know how many would agree, but it's some of the best fight scenes I've ever seen. Of course I say that because it has some of my favorite characters fighting too. You're right. I watched three more episodes last night (4-6) and I'm enjoying the series more. Good stuff. I suppose the problem I'm having is that ever since he was introduced in ASM 129, I never cared for the Punisher character. (Yeah, I know, I know... ) He always struck me as more of a murderous terrorist than any sort of hero, and I've been baffled by his popularity. I never got it. I'm enjoying the storyline so far in these first 6 episodes, so we'll see. Looking forward to watching more of the series. I could almost promise you that you will love the Punisher when you are done with all of them. I get to re-watch a couple episodes tonight with my wife as she catches up and I don't even mind.
  23. That wasn't Krang! Haha, I was just going to post the same thing. Common mistake though...all due to the 80's/90's animated cartoon (and the Archie TMNT Adventures series). They will always be Krang to me Yes, mostly because I discovered the Mirage stuff later on. I do love that cover though- So vibrant!!
  24. Your new page is awesome, but that cover to 11 is Dreamy!! I just was looking at that book yesterday saying "How great it would be to own this cover or an early cover." Wow man. Big congrats!!! I know you're probably still wide-eyed when you look at it. You are absolutely right! I picked that up about 8 years ago, and since that time ive bought and sold a lot of Turtles art, shaping the collection to what you see now. But that piece is one of only a few that never crosses my mind to part with and I still stop in front of it pretty regular to look at its details....still trying to decipher some of the diary notes blowing in the wind! I always say you could tell you're looking at a good artist's work when you could look at it 1,000 times and see something different, or of course just make you smile. I have to say. One of the nicest Turtles collections I've seen bro!!!!!! I came across the cover art, in full color to #7 with Krang and passed on it a few years ago. I will find it again one day!!! I need a cover!!
