  1. You're going really retro, THB. Because, in fact, the first -script was called TODD, THE UGLIEST KID IN THE WORLD, but we eventually changed it to ON EARTH when we submitted to Image. I love the street team idea. We should make official badges, like the U.S. Marshals. But instead of searching for fugitives from justice they seek out fugitives from comics -- folks who used to read them but gave up -- and slap them around with new awesome books till they acquiesce.
  2. Mangbus -- you're batting a thousand. I hope you keep that batting avg when they try TODD.
  3. www.CountingDownTo.com (thumbs u Can you get one that says "Countdown to Todd #3"? ItJustRyan gets serious credit for the effort. COUNTDOWN CLOCK WEBSITE

  5. I read this this morning. Funny stuff. Did you guys bring in a consultant, or did you have to go undercover onto the front lines?...Or how long were you in prison for? 9. Wow. Not cheap. So when you decide you're going to make that investment is it usually because you think you can sell that book and make a certain margin? What's the magic number?
  10. Very cool! I have not yet had time to send a few of my copies in --- Ill do it next week... hopefully But yeah thats the 1st one ive seen How much does it cost to have a book graded and preserved by CGC?

  13. No Boston Comic Con for me this year -- My travel schedule in April will take me to Oklahoma. So if you're out there let me know what shops in OKC are worth doing signings at.
  14. That's the review that keeps on giving. Hence "Holden Caufield" and I "burned" some books at Emerald City Con.

  17. Later this month I'll be down in Anaheim signing at Wondercon -- Image doesn't have a booth there but I'll be headquartered at the Geekscape booth. If you don't know the Geekscape podcast please check it out -- Geekscape.net Hope to see some of you at Wondercon!
  18. The theme to Ax Men. Oh, and it's an organ -- creepier than piano.
  19. Hey Jerry -- here's an interview that I just did last night... thePullBox has some smart interviewers. They don't ask the usual surface questions. http://thepullbox.com/2013/03/07/kenkristense/ KK
  20. Solar! I just amended the caption to include you. Didn't realize so many folks from this board came to the signing -- amazing.
  21. This is great insight. I didn't even know PP had a BBC deal. Nice for them. And good news for fans of the book who might otherwise stood witness to a premature demise of the PP universe. The thing I love about what you've said here is that the fans (and the folks on this board among them) rallied behind the book and became agents of change. That's amazing stuff. The comics community never ceases to amaze me. Thanks again for the explanation.
