  2. Hello all, Here's an EC undercopy for your consideration. Here's a link to my KUDOS THREAD The No PL/HOS members; The first "take it" posted in the thread wins (whether a straight thread take it, or a "take it via PM" if we reached a deal via PM). If you want to remain anonymous by purchasing via PM, this means there will be some risk of losing a book if someone posts a "take it" in the thread before I can mark the book SOLD based on your PM. Having said that, I'll mark books SOLD as soon as reasonably possible. If I put a book ON HOLD, that book is not available for purchase until it comes back off HOLD Payment I'll take PayPal, personal checks, or USPS money orders; I'll expect payment within 10 calendar days, or the deal is off (unless we've made other payment arrangements) I'll gladly consider longer-term time payments, but PM me to discuss terms before taking a book if you need that. Shipping Terms USA: - Shipping via USPS priority/registered mail included in price International Destinations - Because this is a higher dollar book and we're still in a pandemic, I'd prefer to stick to the USA on this one; however, we can investigate the situation if you're interested - we'll need to check into insurance availability - if there isn't an insurance option that we're comfortable with in terms of shipping to your country, I reserve the right to decline the sale; if we decide go forward, I'll charge you what USPS will charge me ...PM me and I can put the book on hold while we figure it out (Hey...at least this is better than me just straight-up saying "I won't ship international", right? ) Returns/Refunds I will accept returns for a refund for any reason within two weeks of your receipt of the book, as long as the book is returned to me as it was when you received it. Because this is a slab, if you want to return it, shipping both ways is on you (unless I screwed something up). Thanks for looking! Ed

  7. Hello all, Hope everyone is doing as well as can be expected! A while back I decided to stop trying to be a motorcycle cover completist, so the slow but sure release of those books continues. Hopefully some of you can use these - if not, I'll try again next year Here's a link to my KUDOS THREAD The No PL/HOS members; The first "take it" posted in the thread wins (whether a straight thread take it, or a "take it via PM" if we reached a deal via PM). 11. If everything goes to hell, Modern Love #7 will be the last book I'll part with (and would happily upgrade, if anyone ever decides to sell the 9.2 copy that's out there somewhere) :
  12. Correction #3 of 3: Picture Stories From American History #2 distributor variant After Max Gaines parted ways with the DC/National crew (as I discuss earlier in this thread), he switched distribution companies - away from IND (Independent News Co, the in-house distributor for DC/National). Apparently, Picture Stories from American History #2 got caught up in the switch - copies from early in the print run had the "IND" insignia under the price graphic, and copies from later in the print run did not (i.e., after IND was no longer the distributor). Before, I was including only one instance of PSFAH #2 in my completist list, but now I acknowledge two PSFAH #2 variants, which of course adds one book to EC ed's EC Completist List! Here's what I mean...look under the price circle :
  13. Those definitely count! In fact, I "count" Mad magazine through issue #30
  14. @KirbyJack Interesting discussion...I've thought about this a bit myself, and have discussed it with others. Long story short, I likewise think that it's the Vault-Keeper there on the cover (there is no horror host anywhere on the interior of HoF #15(1)). Here are a few of the key arguments: 1) The Old Witch has asymmetric eyes (i.e., one prominently bulging eye); the Vault-Keeper has symmetric eyes. The creature on the cover of HoF #15(1) has symmetric eyes. 2) The Old Witch ended up wearing a red robe; the Vault-Keeper ended up in the green robe. The creature on the cover of HoF #15(1) is in a green robe. 3) The cover of the third issue of HoF (i.e., HoF #17(3)) shows all three horror hosts - notice that the Vault-Keeper is wearing a yellow rope belt. The creature on the cover of HoF #15(1) is wearing a yellow rope belt. CASE CLOSED! By the time HoF #15(1) was issued, the Vault-Keeper was already established as an EC horror host. I think that the cover of HoF #15(1) is the Vault-Keeper (a known host) inviting readers into the new horror title...like "you love my Vault of Horror...come in here and let me show you some FEAR...he, he, he." Then, in the next issue (HoF #16(2)), HoF got its new host, the Old Witch.
