Same here too! Golden age bump but thought not this time so went 3.5 (thought can't be 4.0). How can this be higher than the Cap America #117 with large stain on the back. Invaders with deep impact ding/bend on upper staple area! How can be 9.6!

Has anyone mentioned the extra staple on the top staple area on the Conan? This does not look like a regular normal extra staple but an extra large one that someone added. I hammered the book because of this. This did not affect the grade much?

Don't magnify so much. Believe me, it does not help. You end up killing the book for every defect even though not that big if you looked at it in normal size and actually had the book in hand.

I had 8.0 on the Super and then I looked really closely and saw the spine split with tear that looks like 1/2 inch and deducted big time for that. No way the Bats a 9.2 with all those flaws: corner crunch alone should have brought it down to 9.2 and then all the all spine ticks and multiple bends on the back cover should have knocked it down way more.
