  1. Wow, big surprise with the 1st pick. Entertaining prize picking already. I will be picking live tomorrow at #7.
  2. Great prizes everyone. Can't wait until the raffle drawing, lots of fun seeing what people choose.
  3. Because some people donated extra prizes, does that mean there will be leftover prizes that are not needed and will not be selected. I don't recall we ever had this problem but maybe I am wrong. Great generous prizes by the way
  4. PRIZE DONATION: 5 FREE COMIC BOOK PRESSINGS. THIS PRIZE COULD BE WORTH $500 TO YOU. I kid you not. Board members here have gotten amazing grade bumps with my pressing services. I have donated my time via comic pressing in the past and it has been fun getting to know board members so I am offering up my services again. See here for my feedback from past customers:
  5. Just noticed a look on my invoice page.
  6. Cool. I just happened to be looking when it flashed. I am not posting frequently like other members.
  7. RIP Stan Lee. Thank you 🙏 for everything you did. You will be forever in our hearts.
  8. I agree. 8.5 is very generous. Corner crease that breaks color will it keep from grading higher. Nothing to be gained by a press. By the way, I am a presser.
  9. Fantastic packaging. Books arrived in NM/M as promised. Recommended and would buy from again. Thank you.
  10. Just read this thread and catching up. The older slabs are easier to crack slightly and label swap. One buyer of the DD #1 noticed it and returned. The other buyers probably are not aware as someone mentioned. Seller is from Eugene, Oregon. NUFF SAID. If I see a seller from there, I run for the hills. I hope CGC can do something about this seller.
  11. What were the books? I assume moderns with maybe very light spine stress?
  12. Look at the book at an angle with a light source. Guarantee you there are some impressions. Every X-Force #1 should get a press, otherwise no chance for a 9.8. Just so you know
  13. Yes, that's why Ebay is better for modern hot stuff. I would be disappointed letting it go for that amount.
  14. That price seems like fair market value. Peak price was $300 which sent people submitting many more copies. Before people start screaming about not being worth that amount, try submitting one yourself. Many copies with printer streaks and all had impressions from the polybag and the card. I finally got a 9.8 in my last submission (1 out of 3). If you submit one, make sure to press it first as that is only way to get rid of the impressions. If the impressions were heavy from stacking, even pressing won't get rid of it all. Not as hard I thought to get a 9.8 but still not easy compared to other books. 9.6 is only $30 so we are looking at 5x the price for a 9.8.
  15. Hi CGC, I would like to request a label be updated with the following: Uncanny X-Men Vol 1 #194, June, 1985: 1st Appearance of Fendis Twins (Strucker Twins: Andreas von Strucker and Andrea von Strucker) Here is the supportive info: http://marvel.wikia.com/wiki/Uncanny_X-Men_Vol_1_194 The characters have been become more mainstream and known since their appearance on the TV Fox show "The Gifted"
  16. I will take it. I am assuming these are US Editions?? Surprised not purchased already?
