Superboy 68 with Missing Page PayPal Claim Denied
spidermanbeyond replied to pjray55's topic in Comics General
You have 30 days EBay, 45 days with PayPal and 60 days with credit card company to file a claim. Always fast track if it is high value book. Good luck. -
This is a CGC forum so the site does not allow discussion of other grading companies. Recommend you do a general search to draw your own conclusions.

Lot of cheap slabs, better to use CLINK or eBay?
spidermanbeyond replied to RedGiant's topic in Comics General
I was curious myself about CLink for non-key books but you cannot beat Ebay for views/eyeballs. I have gotten great prices for common books that I thought would only sell at 9.8 grade. The key is to be patient with a reasonable buy it price. It may months to even a year to get your price. Auctions will yield poor results unless the book is highly desirable. Remember, there is another 3% charge with Paypal so Ebay is closer to 13%. On the plus side, you make a few dollars for your shipping and handling. MyComicShop and CLink sound like a great way to go if you don't what the hassle or work of listing, etc. -

Torpedo Comics offers an alternative to SDCC
spidermanbeyond replied to Robot Man's topic in Comics General
I flew down from Northern California. It was a good show with lots of dealers that I don’t normally see in Northern California. Picked up some key books at reasonable prices. Nice selection. I am sure there were tons of CGC guys, just don’t know who you are in person. Not going to San Diego and have not for a long time so this was great. Everything I need, just Comic books and Comic art. Hope its bigger next year and 2 days. -
Don't forget to save some prizes for the people that got skipped over when they come back here. At least, that how it was done in the past.

From Ebay transaction June 2018: Sample notes and evaluation: Hi Fred, I am done with your moderns. Here are my notes: Fred P. Order Amazing Spider-Man #238 – light spine ticks on front and back cover, tiny tear near upper staple on back cover, slight dirk back cover, small crease back cover upper corner, creasing back cover edge. Pre-press grade 8.0, after press 8.5 to 9.0 Amazing Spider-Man #298 – slight spine ticks on front extending to back cover. Pre-press grade 8.5, after press 9.0/9.2 Amazing Spider-Man #299 – light spine ticks, pre-press 9.0/9.2, after 9.2/9.4 Amazing Spider-Man #300 – light spine ticks front cover, light spine ticks back cover/some break color, small finger bend back cover, pre-press 8.0/8.5, after 8.5 to 9.2. This issue is tough to get in high grade because of the black back cover shows every flaw, tick, stress. CGC can be very strict at times. Amazing Spider-Man #301 – light spine ticks front cover, small impact ding lower bottom of spine, dirk, back with light spine ticks that break color. Pre-press grade 8.0/8.5 after 8.5 to 9.0 Perry good morning Perry, I just called CGC just as a follow-up to see how my order was. the Gentlemen on the phone said my order was completed on June 12 and is being processed for shipping. here are the amazing results you left. Saw an Stan signed AF 15 in 9.6 today.

It is a CB** 9.6 restored but yellow label for over 110 K. Was a restored CGC 9.4 at 55 K. You draw your own conclusions about its worth. I think it will sit in the museum for a while. They have nice books but at high prices.
