And the 59. In much better shape than the last two. Those claw dudes are pretty weird. I asked my wife what she thought and she mentioned "that one guy from Guardians of the Galaxy". Not a bad guess, I suppose, and he does kinda resemble Yondu with the mohawk. And the interior art just keeps getting better with Ingels coming on board in 57.

Amazing book! Off-topic, but I was just thinking the other day that I've seen a lot less Centaurs floating around in the past year. Are they just not coming up for sale as much (even compared to, say, Fox) or is it my imagination?
I have seen very few, and they have been going for quite a bit, even for beater copies. I'm glad I got the ones I have when I did.

And the 55. Agree that this one is most likely of any Planets to have some Baker work on the cover. Might possibly be he inked it or did a collaboration with Doolin to put the girl in (I have a Crown comics 5 that is supposedly a Baker/Feldstein job so it has happened before)? Particularly the detail in her hair, just seems so distinctive and also different from most Doolin women. I guess we'll never know, could just be wishful thinking...

And for 53, one of my favorite issues. Notable for being Matt Baker's first work on Planet. And a great one it is! I had to include the story, since I just looked through it. And added in a couple pages of Doolin and Whitman too, both bondage/torture with hot poker splashes. A strong issue and what a cover. Bought mine for the nice color but need to upgrade this one as the spine is split. I remember I used to see this listed a lot as a Matt Baker cover but I think people finally accepted it is Doolin.

Truly an original cover, my favorite in the 40s (maybe close with #40). Some unique elements not present on any other covers in the series, with being underwater and a mermaid of sorts. And a lot of variation on the colors with this one. I seem to recall Zolnerowich has one with amazing color, hopefully he shares it again.

I am divided on the 46 cover. I get that the woman looks odd. But I always thought it was cool how it inverted the standard cover of the man saving the woman, and this guy is even hog tied! There is also a lot of variability in that orange background. Still pretty low on the overall ranking though. And figured I'd get 47 done too. Reminds me a lot of 37/38 with the big t-rex style monsters, but I much prefer 38. And Tim, you have an amazing collection! Glad you figured out posting, they are great to see!
