So a book that has 148 9.8 copies just sold for $146K? What are people on dope? One of the most common of “keys”. I recently reread the copy I carefully picked off the newstand for the second time. Frankly, VERY poor art and story. I know it is Wolverine and a “grail” to many but there are SO many better books to buy if I were foolish enough to spend my money on. I really should slab and sell it…
I don't understand it either, was just musing with some friends about what we'd rather spend that money on. You could get some really great books for that cash.

Detective 26 only has a text ad previewing Batman. Action 12 has the Bob Kane drawn Batman ad, his first published appearance. Not cheap but likely undervalued.

Many of these are low grade, which is okay with me. Figured I’d post here in case you see this and have any BRs you’d be willing to sell to help me finish my run. The issues I still need are: 9, 14, 15, 17, 19, 21, 22. If so, please send me a PM with info
Awesome group shot, thanks for sharing! Have only got a 5 that I picked up a few years back before things got crazy. Would love to get more...

Ok here is my suggestion. I appreciate what is said above so I don't own this book. And I appreciate the comment about Blue Ribbon 1 being the first MLJ. But I would put forth Pep 1 instead. A more significant of a title, eventually to introduce Archie, but has a dynamic Shield robot cover, introducing a patriotic super-hero that Timely clearly ripped off for Captain America. And a few other fun heroes that had a big impact on later development of super-heroes, like the Comet and his eye beams. And a great selection of GA artists as well.

I also remember a early GA Cap cover which never appeared in print and was changed because Joesph Stalin was now on our side after Pearl...was that cover #1 or #2 , some early issue? Anyone know?
You are thinking of Young Allies #1. Originally had Hitler and Stalin on the cover, which can be seen in the preview ad from Human Torch 5A.

All-American Comics 9, 1939
Tear at upper staple, but cover still firmly attached to back side. VERY light water stain lower LH BC, and there is a
silverfish nibble here and there along the spine. Nothing major, but there's a little nibble out in a couple spots.
Chip out lower RH BC.
This all being said, it's a flat clean copy, tight with white pages, with a whiff of gloss left.
Asking $500
per PM. Thanks!

On the topic of strong prices for Fox books, any of you deep pocketed boardies here trying to snag this copy of Mystery Men 26 later tonight:
Not sure where it's going to finished up at, but already sitting at a very strong $7,800 with the Heritage BP juice or at something like well over 13X condition guide value and still not done.
$8,400, nice result. And the 27 in 2.5 went for $3,120.

Had to dig a bit for this thread. Just scored this rare beauty off eBay (only 3 graded). Technically a pre-Centaur Ultem but who cares. The seller had a number of very early DCs as well (MF 9 14 and New 3 4 5!) but they went for strong prices and missed those. But happy to come away with something, and this copy has what I assume to be the owner's name and address on it. You can actually find the house on google earth, 4 blocks from Lake Superior. And all the issues had a paper pasted inside that has me thinking they were items to be checked out from a school? Or just a creative teacher using comics and letting the kids take them home. But someone ended up keeping a bunch!

Some great books just sold on CLink tonight, nice rivet issues among them.
#3 Billy Wright 8.5 $11,250 Beautiful book. Doubled from the 2018 sale.
#4 9.0 $10,360 Can't stop staring at the electric colors on this one!
#15 5.0 $8,900 Seemed soft but maybe not the best color.
#16 7.0 $1,600 Thought this was a great buy, almost threw a bid at it, it looks so nice. Not sure why this issue gets so little love.
A few other notables:
#36 8.5 $4,544 Tripled in price the last few minutes, wonderful eye appeal and color. Matched the Promise copy pricing, this one is way better. Really better than even the Church copy.
#58 9.0 $3,686 Nice colors on this one. I'd rather have this than the 9.6 Promise that went for $10K more than this.
Hope some of you got lucky tonight!

Lets "Reflect" on Mirror covers!

Can't go wrong with the Blue Beetle 54 or More Fun 65 but I love this mirror cover.
