  1. That's an interesting spin on the original story. I LOVED the movie as a kid. I believe I was 12 when It hit theaters. I always wanted to see a Jumanji movie that took place in the actual Jumanji jungle, but the whole avatar thing makes absolutely no sense to me. This looks more comedic than dramatic, which I'm not sure how I feel about. If they can find a good balance of both, then count me in!
  2. Alright, I've got it narrowed down to one of two movies I'm seeing tonight: Dr. Strange, or Hacksaw Ridge. What'll it be gents?
  3. Ant Man was better because of Paul Rudd and the overall story was more heart touching and "deeper" if Ant-Man can be deep. Dr Strange was a great visual movie and a great comic book adaption but felt flat in terms of overall story and the love interest was not convincing. Now that I think about it more I'd probably give Ant-Man a slight advantage to me seeing it a second time over Dr Strange and I'd see Suicide Squad over again before seeing either of them. Solid B/B- movie for me. This is exactly what I gathered from the trailer.
  4. Whatever happened to the Graveyard Book movie that Ron Howard was going to direct?
  5. I've actually never been a Dr. Strange fan but I do want to see the flick only so I don't miss out on how they're building the Marvel Universe. I'm probably most interested in seeing what the 2 end scenes. This may actually be just enough pull for me.
  6. I'm tired of special fx movies, and this thing looks bloated with them. Any other reason to see this film aside from the abundance of CG eye candy? So far, the trailers aren't doing anything for me. Yawn.
  7. Tim Miller can easily be replaced, so can Junkie XL. There's a lot more good composers than there are good directors. I'll jump ship when the writers do.
  8. If this truly is the case, then I'm quite glad that Miller walked.
  9. As much as I like Tarantino, I'd much rather see Matthew Vaughn direct it.
  10. Midway through X-Men: Apocalypse they showed Logan escaping from the Weapon X Program with his Adamantium. And this trailer shows him with Adamantium. What did they screw up now? In DOFP he's rescued from the water by his fellow mutants..bone claws and all. He's not taken by Stryker. I think that's what he's referring to...the gaping hole he left (one of many ) in his own story line. This is exactly what I was referring to. Major screw up, IMHO.
  11. If I remember right, I think that's where they kinda screwed things up again.
  12. I think it's always a good sign when an artist holds back on their initial creation, only to release something much better after it!
  13. Just got back from the movie. The critics can suck it.
  14. A prime example of Hollywood creating a story to revolve around a character played by someone with enormous star power. It all translates to lucrative practices, not good story telling. Btw, JL just annoys me. If Mystique was played by someone else, I would probably be more excited about seeing this film. Can't the same be said of the the iron man character/Robert Downey JR and the entire marvel cinematic universe Pretty much, but at least Robert Downey is light years ahead of JL in terms of acting skills and likability.

  16. What?!?!?! Blame it on the negative reviews, and my realization that Jennifer Lawrence is the main part of the entire movie.
  17. I bought my tickets a week ago, but it saddens me to say I'm not really excited about it.
  18. "Captain Jack Sparrow finds the winds of ill-fortune blowing even more strongly when deadly ghost pirates led by his old nemesis, the terrifying Captain Salazar, escape from the Devil's Triangle, determined to kill every pirate at sea...including him. Captain Jack's only hope of survival lies in seeking out the legendary Trident of Poseidon, a powerful artifact that bestows upon its possessor total control over the seas." -IMDB Scheduled to be released next year, some guy from a band I've never heard of will make a special appearance. http://www.ecumenicalnews.com/article/pirates-of-the-caribbean-news-sir-paul-mccartney-will-be-part-of-the-latest-movie/41490.htm I actually can't wait for this!!!
  19. I think I keep having these dreams because I really want this movie to be one of the best X-Men films ever made. I mean, it has both of my favorite X-Men characters (Nightcrawler and Beast).
