  1. The Star Wars #2 sketch variants are fetching 50% or less of the #1 sketch variants. I'm not sure why Dark Horse decided to print the bar code on this cover, but it was a horrible choice. This is looking like it will end up a $30-50 comic when the initial sales are done. Star Wars #1 sketch cover is looking like a $75-100 comic. Only time will tell if this fall more in a year or so. BOOOO!!!!
  2. Let's-Go-Elephant-Men-Let's-Go-WOO-WOO!!!  Too many variations on each issue has kept this comic from achieving it's potential. Which of the 6 covers of Hip Flask: Unnatural Selection do you invest in? This is another title (science fiction oriented) that I would have loved to immerse myself in, but too many variants have kept me from wanting to collect. Series is phenomenol. For variants, most issues actually don't have one. Each book has a flip-cover though, so two covers per one book. Ya, for the first Hip Flask though, lot of covers, but overall, not a lot printed. Same for Elephantmen.
  3. Are you saying there are appearances of key characters from the Arrow TV show that are picking up steam because of the TV show and you havn't shared that information? Really thinking about a group PM moderns heating up club.

  5. In the latest series, there near parliament hill (I guess Elgin street) which was cool. Although, wasn't super accurate haha. They also had a cave/ secret lab underneath it as well, complete with giant jet hangar, which I'm pretty sure doesn't exist.
  6. +1 Agreed 100%. I am really surprised at how much they show and do on Hannibal. After watching that show, looks like NBC is opening up their eyes a little. Surprisingly, Hannibal was good, but after the first 2-3 episodes I walked away feeling grossed out. So, I dropped it. I can handle TWD and love books like Bedlam, but for some reason this show makes me feel the way I do when I watch Se7en (which I like, but still is cringe worthy). "What's in the box!" It is creepy, eh? It's a combo of the music, and the twitch, sped up sureal shots. Good show. Lector is the man.
  7. The thing to keep in mind with that SG 9.8 is the seller. I believe it's the same person who was posting and relisting the same Revival #1 9.8SS last month. He or She was also called out in the marketplace section for doing just that. It may keep some people from bidding on this auction. http://www.ebay.com/itm/REVIVAL-1-CGC-9-9-2x-SIGNED-/251270940372?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item3a80ea46d4#ht_120wt_886 http://www.ebay.com/itm/REVIVAL-1-CGC-9-9-SS-2x-Signed-Norton-and-Seeley-Image-Comics-MINT-/221211266454?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item3381380d96&nma=true&si=SOsw88FEKI7w8%252BmoSFGxTFAQ0tI%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557#ht_310wt_886 http://www.ebay.com/itm/REVIVAL-1-CGC-9-9-SS-2x-Signed-Norton-and-Seeley-Image-Comics-MINT-/221206303273?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item3380ec5229&nma=true&si=SOsw88FEKI7w8%252BmoSFGxTFAQ0tI%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557#ht_234wt_886 The last two are the same seller, about a week apart, and were both sold. All three have the exact same CGC serial number in the picture. Both sellers have similar bidders bidding on these items. Both sellers are in California.
  8. Sounds about right. I mean, I payed $10 and $50 for them. So overall, I would probably make profit. Just trying to figure out which way would maximize. I did think that once the initial deluge of copies get bought, that there might be a void that I put fill them with.
  9. What would the best strategy be for selling two copies of Star Wars #2 sketch variant??? I don't actually sell often, so not always sure what the best venue is. Since I'm not an actual retailer, I'm not doing volume sales/fast sell-through. 1-Boards? 2-Ebay? 2a) auction, Buy It Now, But It Now with best offers? 3-Amazon? Trying to maximize price (obviously), so don't need to dump them immediately. I've noticed that a couple went either the day of or a day before release for $149 each, then release day and after, seemed to be going for $49-$69 each. If I can get over $100 per issue, I'd be happy.
  10. I'm not seeing anything new as of today. Usually tomorrow is when things start to get really crazy. I like crazy.
  11. That's completely by necessity. His head would overheat if it had hair. Obviously.
  12. Professor X??? You read my mind. I think though that they couldn't decide on whether they wanted a light-hearted movie, or a dark movie, and it kind of came out as a jumble of both. I wish, telepathy would be cool minus the balding but alas just a fellow Marvel movie fan. I try and enjoy the Marvel cinema-verse as a stand alone because expecting it to conform to the comics seems unreasonable. I'm usually more annoyed when they try to make the comics conform to the movies than vice versa. For instance, classic Nick Fury owns Jr. Other than ridiculous plot things (wolverine and Sabretooth in Wolverine Origins movie, etc) it's just stupid unnecesary tweeks that bother me, like why not just put a crocodile face on The Lizard??? It's not hard. Why use Black Widow in Avengers when there are tones of other female Avengers that are much more established on the team??? Why change this colour, that power, this name, etc etc
  13. Professor X??? You read my mind. I think though that they couldn't decide on whether they wanted a light-hearted movie, or a dark movie, and it kind of came out as a jumble of both.
  14. Back to the real topic at hand. If I can pick up the Star Wars #2 sketch tomorrow, is anyone in the market for it???
  15. 1-Yes to the Armour. It's Iron Man, not Skin Man. 2-The banter throughought the movie (quick little comments, under the breath, rapidly talking, going on with the little quips for 30 second to 2 min intervals), it was like they were trying to be a modern style comedy/Vince Vaughn/Kristen Wiig, all rolled into one.
  16. of course not, which is why it was the second largest opening in history, after only the Avengers. It wasn't a bad movie, I agree. It was different, but well made. However, I don't think I'd make the argument that since it sold a lot of tickets to people who (obviously) had not seen it yet equates to it being a good film on those grounds alone. It did suffer from what several super hero movie sequels have, however. Si to the ticket comment! And ya, it was a solid average/mediocre movie. 2.5 out of 5 stars. As my brother said, "Iron Man 3 was........a movie."
  17. Just because a movie has a big opening, doesn't mean it's a good movie. It means 1-It's a popular movie, and/or 2-People THINK it will be good. What is the point of changing something so radically though, if you already have a good concept??? It's like the Resident Evil movies (you have a good story already, and then you just make a totally new one for .....no reason). Or superhero movies (let's just NOT put them in masks....because, or change costumes so radically, charaters, etc.....because). I know the whole movie vs comic/game etc thinking (a la Walking-Dub), but there comes a point when you have to ask "Why not make different characters? Why even make it a "Superhero X" movie? (not saying Iron Man 3 was like that, save for the Mandarin), but a lot of these things end up being like that. I mean, it was mediocre. I can honestly say, I havent read much Iron Man, but from what I have read, does he really joke around as much as Spider-Man does in the comics??? Writting and execution were so-so, but it was all over the place. No real focus after about 45 minutes in. Lame "jokes" if you want to call them that. TOO much "humour". Si. Weird though. Why is there not more upswing if the movie/character is a success. Always wondered that.
  18. I know a 9.8 can be had on the boards for $60 :whistle:Jim Slabbed??? I'd buy that right now.
  19. Personally, I thought it was a really fun experience to watch Too many lame jokes. Too many "jokes" in general. It wasn't HORRIBLE, like first hour I was getting sucked in, was very interested, then it kind of went all over the place.
  20. I was NOT happy with Mandarin. Ha! I thought Ben Kinsgsley stole the film! It was hard to sit through the rest. And what has happened to Guy Pierce? All he does now is destroy popular franchises or masterpieces like Lockout. Ya, stole the film, and more importantly, the Mandarin's dignity.
  21. I was NOT happy with Mandarin. Having THIS EXACT THING playing him would have been more accurate --->
  22. After seeing Iron Man 3, Iron Man comics should take a dive. They won't, but they deserve to. All I can say is......WOW.......
  23. And I love it when I see someone who's still stuck on '93 prices, who thinks this is worth $30.
  24. We would take him for league minimum, would be a good practice squad player. He could tell our youngsters horror stories about getting beat HUGE in the final minutes of big games. Proud Packers Owner since 1997 Wow, one bad game and he's league minimum? I guess to make the deal official, Elway will shake hands with his Packer-beating Super Bowl ring on. Pat sorry fellas but if you are going off topic it had better be about tom brady getting another ring! The one player/ team that I can't stand/hate the most in any sport. Boo!
