I asked Bill about this and he told me that you had to choose between setting up as a dealer or a collector. You were not allowed to do both. If your friend did this, then he got away with it but it's not what Bill wanted.
No idea. I was told he was setting up to sell his own personal art as a collector and the art of those he represents as a dealer. If he wasn't supposed to, more than likely, he didn't know. You know what they say though, better to ask forgiveness than permission.

Question: are we able to set up as a collector and a rep/dealer? I'd like to potentially do both if possible.
One of our mutual friends did this, Dave.
Oh, and congratulations!

I came across a seller a couple of years ago that had this page listed on eBay. From what I understand it had sat in the case of a comic or book store that was closing for a few years. They had no idea who the artist or inker was so I messaged them and informed them. For whatever reason, they didn't adjust their listing and after the page didn't sell, they offered it to me at a bargain of a price. Brian Stelfreeze and Karl Story's contribution to X-Men Annual 1.

Not really. I think the background of viruses probably turned some people off of crazy bidding.
My thoughts as well, but I think once all of this settles down, we'll see that piece pop up again and sell for much more than it went in the eBay auction.

Man, they really packed a lot of story into that first strip.

This was just yesterday, at this point, you should just bet on most large gatherings being canceled and plan accordingly.

So the other auction ended with no buyer at 8k (+2k "service fee"), and thus the auctioneer has put it on eBay for 10k?
Seems to be the case. I own some Sal B art that was actually used at Universal's Islands of Adventure. It's possible this piece was used in development for the park, but I've never seen any of that character artwork as a group or individually used there.

Thundercats was a comic?
Was there a MoTU comic other than the minis that came with the early figures? I mean, there were comics for that, but i don't remember any on the spinners. Their success was all about the cartoons.
Yes, it was released by Marvel through their Star brand.

Who doesn't love Rom? My cousin Armando. He was a few years older than me and he is the one who got me into comics. I loved toys as much as comics so when Rom came out it was a dream. It was like Christmas once a month when a new issue came out. But of course Armando would poop all over Rom. He would always say "But he's got mittens!" I hated hearing that. I'm 52 years old and I'm still defending Rom from my cousin. Here is my original art Rom cover. Issue #3 by the great Frank Miller. Miller Rom
So you subconsciously purchased the Rom cover that didn't clearly show his hands?

Plus one. Like 99.99% of earth's male population I am a big fan of Lee's rendition of ninja Psylocke (even though personally I prefer armoured Psylocke by Silvestri or the Lady Mandarin version by Lee). Yet I have always found that particular panel grotesque. I wonder, what was Lee thinking? He is normally quite respectful of anatomy, albeit in a teen-ager friendly way. Maybe it was supposed to be tongue-in-cheek?
Uncredited Rob Liefeld fill in on the left panel?

Well, he's not going to admit that it's a stunt, right?
It is funny that the guy who made his bones on retconning says there won't be no retconning.
Obviously, he doesn't know what hero he's dealing with.

Read the issue.
I've read the issue and still think a $10K ask is overly ambitious.
