  1. Did they mention Spider Gwen on the View today? This could be huge Maybe I'm the oddball here but I just can't seeing a bunch of comic readers watching the View. I may have to start a poll. Haha ! Youd be surprised at how many lemmings will go running to ebay buying a comic just hearing Ellen or Whoopi mention it.. Like... In seconds

  3. I agree that the general market is going to look at the label, and take comfort in that. Why should they not? The odd thing is when the label changes, and now you have more than one book floating around stating '1st appearance of XXX' like my beloved Hellboy. Now we have John Byrne's Next Men #21 and San Diego Comic-Con Comic #2 floating around stating they are the 1st appearance (older Next Men #21's, newer SDCC #2's). You'll see sellers than listing each based on what those labels state. And there will be buyers that pay a premium for Next Men #21 based on what the label states. Again - knowledge is your safety blanket. That, and having a source you can ask questions of so as to get an education of such changes. Can't disagree with anything you said. It makes me wonder if having separate threads with titles like "X-men Annual #14 is the first appearance of Gambit" would make that sort of information from these forums more easily discoverable through searches. I know that Google will sometimes find individual posts in a longer thread like this, but not always. The more accurate information out there the better. I agree.. I've moved it HERE

  5. Hey guys, not too sure what the resolve was on the 1st appearance of gambit, but here are the scans from Marvel's circular for those months clearly showing what the shipping schedule was for those books: Hope this doesnt ignite WWIII, just wanted to share my findings on this
  6. I guess Im just old fashioned like that.. I do want to watch a show and anticipate the next weeks episode.. then go to work and kvetch for days about who shot JR.. Give me 13 episodes at a time and between posting here and binge watching ill never get my life back
  7. I was there and I got Jason & John to sign 2 different books.. But you couldve easily gotten 4 signed by each (not both).. your choice.. I think its very generous being that they didnt restrict you to buy any at the store to get signed.. But waiting outside for 2 hours was not fun.. You going for the Gwen signing? Most likely. My friend is bringing two peeps with him to get books signed so they can flip them all either on Ebay or Instagram. now now
  8. Ah good times. You made me dig out my cards. I knew I had a few of those! I do not recall what month those cards were released. It would have had to have been January or February 1992 for that to be true. The cards only have 1992 printed on them. Strange that the image is the cover of issue # 2. It does mention that Spawn is " upcoming" so we have to assume # 1 wasn't out yet, when printed. Not that it matters, i'm not sure the exact date can be easily proven. I have them all, cause I like Spawn and Todd (thumbs u Spawn # 1 is the first appearance, as you said however. The rest is simply cool spawn stuff which sells for about x 100 higher than Spawn #1. Fixed

  11. Well, it also largely depends on what you have read, I believe. I liked the majority of the Marvel titles, the Marvel age as a whole. Off topic now, but have you ever read the Defenders or any other Steve Gerber title?
  12. And now I have another book to get signed.... Show off
  13. It's almost hard to blame BLMOdirect. He did everything right with his listing , except the " 1st" he threw in at the end of the title. He didn't mention anything about it being a 1st in the description, just that it has a spawn ad. It's obvious he has a few copies of this book, as he sold a few others early last month for cheap, and without the spawn mention. Hard to say what the right thing to do would be. Sell it at his normal price, ignoring the hype? Pull the listing until the smoke clears? He definitely should not have put the " 1st " in there. This listing was honest and fair in my book. Thats fine... Let me have it
  14. Of which? the variants? Midtown only had 5 of the sinkiewicz at all 3 locations.. looks like theyre all dried out on the Bay now for cover
  15. You do realize the guy is technically blind miracleman or totleben? John Totleben has been suffering from retinitis pigmentosa. His condition worsened during the time he was doing Miracleman for Eclipse and although all the difficulties he managed to produce some of the most captivating pieces of art, such as MM15.. His sight impairment aside I think his current rendition to MM15 is just as eerie as his early work. Im a fan
  16. Sellers nows the time to list your Marvel Valentines Special.. This dollar bin book commands top dollars this time of year.. Some sold as high as 20.00
  17. This is actualy a big deal. Rare book that was never reprinted till now, plus you get new extras including a house ad concept art, the development of the original cover from sketch to inks to colors, scans of the original artboards of ten pages, character study and scene sketches by Totleben, layouts and sketches, and an unused layout page for page 19 Im alll in on that one
  18. MM15.. This is like a no brainer.. Both Sienkewicz & Sale covers are 1:25 and ran out alredy on most LCS.. Midtown still has a couple Classic book revamped with this cover below? um.. gimme sum pls
