I once bought a PGX 9.8 Spiderman #1 signed by todd and stan for 100.00... I listed it for 250.00 and sold it about a month or 2 later... It took a little while and Im sure its because of PGX's reputation. Had I had it now I could have easily gotten over 400 for it

OK so joking aside, Im honestly shocked by the amount of worthless drek thats getting such big moneys bcs of Stan's signing. Its one thing about silver/Bronze or keys getting a premium coupled with his sig, but Spider-Man 1990 #1 regular cover getting 600+? Or a true Believe $1 book getting the same? Insane

Maybe its the Andy Warhol Stan Lee sig variant?

quick cool story.. I once bought a collection off someone who had to be working for CGC (plenty of pre-screen stickers on bags and a CGC comic con badge were the giving signs lol), the collection itself was about 4-5 long boxes with alot fluff... some semi keys and 60-70s books thrown in just to sweeten the pot... I really wasnt going to get it... he then said ok wait a sec... went upstairs and came back down with 4 graded books.. Nothing major, some 4.5-7.0 silver DDs, and a Modern X-Men 9.0ish... All signed by Stan... He asked me, how about now? I went ahead and bought all of them for 350. Really happy I did

This seller clearly prepared for this day ... I mean, great, whatever makes you happy.. but read what he writes in his listings.. seriously.. you really expect us to believe your cr*p?!?! I'm mentally defeated with this news and probably just going to get out of everything completely. My son is asking why I'm crying as I looked at this.   Again, this has sat in my office for the last 2 years and is a little dusty.  I keep my sunglasses sitting on him as if it was really Stan.

I still think that the tec880 foil reprint is a good spec. Of course they can reprint the life out of that book which will make it a bad spec, but if that will be the end of it, it certainly seems like a logical investment to me
