Not really. This feature was recently implemented by eBay in the collectibles category among others (I think it was only used in fashion/clothing category before). I noticed this first multiple type listing 3-4 months ago by one seller. Now there are many that uses this strategy. It actually is a way for sellers to add multiple listings into one (as opposed to multiple similar units in one)

That really doesnt indicate nothing. I wouldnt necessarily say its a "trap" but there is a certain allure to listings like that. The buyer stumbles upon this listing and gets sold on owning this just because of the same things you attributed to it yourself; the anonymity, the poor description, the "lack of knowledge" seller may or may not posses of what he has. It equates to a "found in the wild" item. Once a buyer is in that state of mind, it is very hard to let go and very easy to lose sense of actual value

Neal signed almost his entire Continuity line and offered them for sale at 2-5 a pop at the time. They came with a cheap printed COA and sometimes even with a pic. Joe Koch has them in his werehouse for $5 a pop last I checked with him and he has most of the titles. My opinion it would be very difficult to move

You dont lose if the price is high is my philosophy. As enticing as this listing is, its very hard to tell what condition these books are in, couple that with the fact that the seller does not allow returns and you sure did the right thing by not OVERbidding on this. Good job!
