  1. As someone who collects these JB said it best over in the Fox thread. These later Fox books before they handed the keys to Holyoke had some dynamite cover work led by Romana Patenaude and as he also stated are some of the toughest books of any of these shorter runs to find. I like them all personally but i think it's a classic case of supply not meeting the demand. There are after all only 2 copies of US Jones #2 on the census with the one being sold last night being the highest graded at a 4.0 and as we know the raw copy that sold on ebay not too long ago is the other graded copy. There are a few buyers out there as we have seen from the bidding pool competing for an extremely small amount available copies and we aren't afraid to get into bidding wars with eachother to make our dreams come true apparently haha!! Fun stuff!! and......as usual await Ricks answer with
  2. Yes and you are on a tear man!! collecting some really super neat stuff i mean that Fox!! The Ace!! and now the MLJ!! I see you've struck GOLD at its finest!! that's what we needed more competition haha!! Welcome brother there is so much cool stuff out there have fun hunting them down!!
  3. Cool one! I have a copy and i think Gino is in the club too. Gotta love the 'Rattler' covers. I'm only one shy of all four of his cover appearances. And your Sig Line..? Sold to a fellow boardie that needed one so i guess i'm in the market for another copy haha!! Awesome book great acquisition!!!
  4. What I don't understand about Meyer - why is JT Barrett still in the game and running with the ball with 5 mins left and a 23 pt lead. Glad to see you stayed up and watched!! How about that catch before halftime?!!!! One of the greatest of all time?? Certainly the best of the year so far!!! Looking good for the Bucks to move up to second i would think?
  5. Sorry to hear about the tendonitis Karl that's a shame man you really are one of the most talented artists i have ever seen. This piece is just another fine example of that brother.
  6. Better than a lot of 1980s B&W indie stuff I love how you are doing all the work Gino, but give credit to the "thinkers". Hahaha!! thanks guys!! yeah wanted to make sure to bring my enterouge of friends along in case I made it big
  7. Found it! But still can't find Waldo! classic!! found him!! Spent a lot of time as a kid looking for this little fellow geek...
  8. +1 what a fantastic book!!...that's definitely some NEAT STUFF you got there bro!!
  9. Two more of maybe the Lesser known flag covers...Eagle #1 the flag is on the bridge...the colors of the Title and the cover make it a little harder to spot at first buts is there...the Banner really pops out its a great cover overall
  10. Not to keep keep coming back to this but here is another obscure flag cover...maybe the smallest flag ever drawn on a funny book haha!! can you find it?...
  11. Near mediocre? haha!! Sorry to see this!! this is one of those circumstances where I always wonder why can't the the seller just be honest and say presents like a NM book when sitting in some Mylar but here are the flaws holding it down. This isn't like a small easily undetected defect all you have to I is pick up the book to see it. edited to add - I already know the answer is rhetorical...money!! but as stated anyone spending this kind of money is more chances than not going to realize it's not NM as soon as they pick it up
  12. A lot of VERY NEAT books being posted here. This one is especially fantastic!!
  13. NICE! The 'Hangman' run and now this: building an MLJ set to match your stellar Timelys? Great book man!!!
  14. Tebow, Emmitt, and Percy...a little newer school but still all great college players Doering was awesome too I I was like 10 years old when he was on the scene but he was fantastic didn't really pan out in the nfl tebow close call to wuerfel, but Danny brought first natty to Florida so that gives him the edge imo....Percy was an avg receiver...doering great hands and route runner but the former walk on was slow ....to slow I would agree Percy was an average receiver I guess I was factoring in all the other stuff they did to get him the ball he was just a dynamic player all around but as a reviecer I would agree. Heck I don't have statistics but they sure ran the ball a lot with him as well if I remember correctly. He was on those Urban Meyer lead National championship teams. Never knew Alvarez to be honest but how did I forget Rhett!!! I still have a stash of his cards tucked away somewhere at my folks house haha!! he was fantastic!! Love talking football such a fun time of the year!!
  15. Tebow, Emmitt, and Percy...a little newer school but still all great college players Doering was awesome too I I was like 10 years old when he was on the scene but he was fantastic didn't really pan out in the nfl
  16. A traveling gas mask salesman trying to reach his monthly target?
  17. That there copy would cause all kinds of commotion during the last 6 seconds of a Clink Feature. Thanks guys and BP this is the exact book I had talked about earlier thanks for bumpin it up what a sweet copy man!! the PERFECT copy IMO
  18. Thanks for posting these I was upset I missed out on the Lighting I really wanted that one but wasn't available when it went off the block!! I'm not starting collecting these yet that's all I need I just really dug that one and that Speed Savage as well
  19. Thanks Gino, thanks Mr B. I love The Flame...great,great cover. Do you guys think 50$ is an okay price for Weird 2-coverless?,centrefold detached, but there? To me, my for a complete coverless as long as it's not brittle for 50 bones I would take that in a heartbeat. Never know when a cover may show up and heck if someone else has a cover they may pay you for it plus in the meantime you get to read an early Thor story!!
  20. you see what I mean right!!?!! if p5 is sayin this it's GOTTA be rare!! probably on everyone's radar now what was I thinkin hahaha!!! JK. I dig it too man the colors/the perspective/the baddies/double bondage!! I like how the caption states the Flame is rushing in to save the girl. No mention of him assisting the man on the floor he's as good as gone!!
