  3. Wow!!! Some Dynomite stuff being posted in this thread the last few pages!!!
  4. Love the comment, tell your wife you actually saved money buying the comic. Congrats! I like where your head is at on that one brother
  5. It sure did buddy. Not to me unfortunately I forgot all about it but was watching it. Nice copy you got there of a neat book for sure
  6. I didn't get a chance during the week so a quick revisit to the tubes with a group shot. Tubes, maybe a glass jar, or even a bubble, either way if you look close enough you may notice that even Gents aren't immune to this form of apprehension
  7. Both nice pick-ups Gino. Earl Shaw has been knocking it out of the ball park lately. I thought about some of those but glad they went to the right guy! He sure is buddy!! Thanks RM!!!! Just trying to put together a collection 1% as neat as yours my friend!!!
  8. Thanks Gents!!! I was thinking about commissioning a Weird 20 since I haven't been able to locate one now I don't have too... it came firmly attached to the book haha!! and it's pretty darn good IMO
  9. Heres another with with a super cover...Wonderworld Comics #28 (1st app of my man U.S. mofo Jones!!!) unfortunately incomplete but like the Weird 20 will do quite nicely as a placeholder until I find a presentable low grader that doesn't cost me a bazillion dollars!!
  10. A couple new Fox Acquisitions...Quite possibly the WEIRDEST copy of Weird Comics #20 in the universe but I really enjoy it...
  11. Boy am I regretting not picking up a low grade 74 a few years ago!! Awesome books all around C!!!
  12. I think your spot on. My vote would definitely be for Wonderworld 7. One of the earliest classic covers if there ever was one.
  13. Awesome man!!!! Two exceptionally cool books there!!
  14. Good call on the Wonderworld 7 AdamStrange and sweeeeeeet book Corey!!!
  15. Once again we just got Bed-Rocked!! Awesome book dude...no matter how many time I look at the hatchet wielding gentleman with bilateral above the knee amputations I can't seem to wrap my head around it. Truly a horror
  16. Great question OP. No one would love to tag Our Flag Comics #5 as the 1st official horror cover more than me trust me but it simply was not. As another poster mentioned Silver Streak #2 was the same month as MMC #3 (I believe Jan 1940). Also to be noted was publisher Harvey Comics for their early iterations of horror covers found in Speed and Prize comics respectively. I am currently reading The Ten-Cent Plague The Great Comic Book Scare and How It Changed America by David Hajdu and he mentions Prize Comics #7 as an early horror cover as it contains a small depiction of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein who also appeared in the stories to come (although not a horror character as much as a protagonist in the fight against the Nazi's) Great question though!! My hopes are to ultimately obtain many of the early Hero/Horror crossover covers but I am not alone in wanting to add these to my collection as many others especially recently are beginning to see them for their true uniqueness and overall, "cool" factor. Unfortunately many of them are scarce and command high premiums but I guess that only adds to the allure of them in general. Now time for a shameless plug of Not the first, but certainly not the least in awesome Horror covers...
  17. Love that book. I always thought the octopi looked cute and maybe they just wanted to be friends. Then the mean Earthlings started indiscriminately blasting them. Startling to me I don't know. Something wrapping its arms around my leg always makes me a little uneasy. the cute little octopi clearly just want hugs. AWESOME!!!!!! Cute lil buggers!!
  18. I like where this is headed guys!! Awesome books everyone!! Alright now fill out the rest of the run...
  19. Awesome sunset and great books everyone!! Anyone have a Blue Ribbon 19 there's a clock on that classic. Sadly I don't own one yet
