  1. That copy could have sold much higher, outlier recently, 7.5 and 8.0 sold very high recently as well. Solo cartoon series in the works only helps the demand for condition sensitive book that’s is scare in general. These prices will only clime!
  2. But is that typical or has that become their new practice? I have never had pre-screens take more then the standard TAT. I have a batch there now, and now I am worried.
  3. pre-screens aren't on time then? I thought the pre-screens were same TAT???
  4. First season was a build up, everything else has been the comics. Haters gonna hate
  5. Disagree on preacher, love the show! Great portrayal of a classic book. The walking dead started off great but got too far away from the comic and show runner sucked. The comic is still my favorite all time series
  6. crickets here, haven't seen any comixpress versions listed for sale for some time. Anyone finding in the wild?......lol
  7. Nice looking 8.0 copy. Any copies are nice! You can't find this book anywhere right now besides the lone 9.8 on feebay. To be honest I think that book will deserve that price at somepoint, much harder book to find in high grade or any copy then TMNT 1.
  8. people would grade this trade (advance copy print run of 1500) because it came out before any of the comics did so it would be the true first issue, printing, character appearances, etc. if this title became relevant.
  9. anyone know if the advance copy TPB can be graded by CGC? It is very thick, not sure if can be slabbed. I haven't seen any show up which surprises me as it would be the true first appearance of any characters that appear in issue 1-4.
  10. can't blame him with all these facilitators charging fees on top of CGC, anyone should be able to get anyone's signature witnessed by CGC without having to go through yet another person.
  11. man this is a great thread and brings back a lot of memories of late childhood collecting 90's comics!
  12. nevermind, a blue 9.8 sold for $1200 last week! Dang, really enjoying my 9.8 SS w/ remark now! the person only had CG in listing not CGC and it still sold lightening fast at that price.
  13. Did not know about Genus 2, very cool Overall I shy away from promo books or prototypes, just not enough there for me to collect. I like first full in their own story (e.g. Goon 1 versus Dreamwalker 0) unless it was an original story not published again or multiple years before seen or published again. Everyone is different of course in their collecting opinions. Speaking of Goon, when was the last #1 9.8 sold? I haven't seen one in years! With the current market wonder what they would fetch???
  14. added another super rare beauty to my list, just recently discovered. Farlaine true first print before fire edition. Great story behind it, assuming no one was hurt in the fire.
  15. man oh man, sure missed out on this initially! So glad David Petersen posted his art for variant cover coming up, otherwise might have never discovered this treasure. Love the story behind the original first print (as long as no one was hurt during the fire) Can't wait for issue 6 & 7 coming soon
  16. great contributions, some books I have never heard of and even too indie for my taste which is hard to believe but great education here.
  17. I have about exhausted my search for high grade indies that had very small print runs or very hard to find in high grade. Anyone else have suggestions from what I have? This can crossover somewhat into moderns but for the most part they are cooper books. This is what I have come up with so far in alpha order: 30 days of night #1 (first print) Albedo #2 (Usagi Yojimbo) Betty & Veronica #320 (Cheryl Blossom) Bone #1 (1st print Red logo) Cerebus #1 Comico Primer #2 (1st Grendel) Copra #1-6 (all hand serial numbered) Cursed Pirate Girl #1 (Comixpress) Deadline #1 (Tank Girl) Death Rattle #8 (XENOZOIC TALES) Farlaine #1 (first printing, pre-fire) Goon #1 (Avatar) Greed #6 (Milk & Cheese) Hillbilly #1 (Baltimore Variant) Love & Rockets #1 (Self published) Mouse Guard #1 (Comixpress B/W) Next Men 21 (Hellboy) Strangers in Paradise #1 TMNT #1 (1st or 2nd print) Visions #1 (Flaming Carrot)
  18. Evan Dorkin! Finally can get a sig series from him!
