  1. That is way too cool. You guys are making me think I might want to grab a few more of these than I originally planned.
  2. That's a hefty order. I'll give the movie a look on Sunday. Thanks for the info.
  3. Agreed, I was on the fence after the first issue but the second issue sealed the deal for me. The icing on the cake was the timeline in the columns of the letters page: Being a fan of Rucka's I know he has always done a great job fleshing out his stories, but if he put THAT much thought into the world, people, environment, and characters I can't wait to see the twists and turns he has in store. I liked the timeline and the ending. I liked issue 1 a little better than 2 but this is still head and shoulders over most comics I've read lately. I like that this book is going to have an ending but I already know I'm going to miss it when it's over.
  4. Didn't the guy that played Spawn also portray Mike Tyson in a movie ? How original Michael Jai White is going to be in the new season of Arrow. the movie he helped create and star in, Black Dynamite is starting up again as a comic book by IDW, he's also made mention of wanting to do a new R version of Spawn AND theres a video online of him showing Kimbo Slice he can kick his . I saw you write something on here before about Black Dynamite. Looks like a fun book so I'm giving it a shot.
  5. I read the first 60 - 70 issues and I liked them. They were extremely over the top but had Todd McFarlane and Greg Capullo handled the artwork and it was impressive. The colors were also way above average. I personally liked it but felt that the story wasn't anything new after a while.
  6. I stand corrected. Only names I recognize on there are Boba Fett, Bossk and IG-88. And what about poor Greedo! I loved the IG-88 toy when I was a kid! Even when I switched to G.I. Joe, he was still in the action! I can't believe I forgot Greedo, THE original bounty hunter IG-88 was an awesome toy. I still have some of them. My brother was the 80s GI Joe guy at our house. I'm still holding all of his original Joes for him and I still have the cards cut out of the back including Snake Eyes. The worst trade I ever made was about 10years ago. I got rid of the original 12 back MOC Star Wars figures for a 65 Mustang. I sold the Mustang after spending about $1000 to fix it up for $4000. I will never replace those toys. I'm sorry I veered off subject. Now where were we ? Oh yeah, East of West rocks !!!
  7. Very possible. He appears to be the strongest of the four by a longshot.
  8. Sounds great and I hope your right
  9. The Empire. Boba Fett, Bossk, 4-Lom, Dengar, IG-88, and Zuckuss were all unavailable due to previous commitments You googled that list... admit it! I would have to Google the new stuff but I saw this movie every Friday night the Spring/Summer of 1980 until they took it off the big screen. Things were a lot different back then. No hope for seeing it on VHS back then and I absolutely loved everything about Hoth, Bespin, and Dagobah. Vader was Vader in this one. He dominated. When they rereleased them, I went to see them a bunch again, I could literally talk about this episode all day...and tomorrow. The Empire Strikes Back
  10. The Empire. Boba Fett, Bossk, 4-Lom, Dengar, IG-88, and Zuckuss were all unavailable due to previous commitments
  11. Ok, so the kids are the ones that want to fulfill "the prophecy" right? But they keep saying that Death has his own agenda right? I get that he loves Xio, but she seems pretty evil. What is THEIR agenda??? The kids want to fulfill the prophecy According to the dialogue between Chamberlain and Death, it seems like Death wants to see the world continue. That was just my take though. Exactly how I see it. I think all of the good guys were left in piles in issue 1
  12. That's kind of the impression that I got. Xio seems pretty evil to me? I just felt like EVERYONE was the bad guy! And who is the guy on the RRP on the "motorcycle"? I thought THAT guy would show up and he would be the protagonist of the story. I thought the three kids and Death, the crow, the wolf were different evils... I think that's the ranger. He should be making an appearance soon :-) He is on the cover of issue 6.
  13. Didn't the guy that played Spawn also portray Mike Tyson in a movie ? How original
  14. Nice pickup. Congrats. Ken, Frank from Five Ghosts, and Kurtis from PP are great guys. The fact that they give us a heads up on cool stuff and come on this site and communicate with us makes me want to help them succeed. These posts remind me of the old letters pages in the back of comics when I was a wee lad except faster Very cool.
  15. I think this would be a lot hotter book if it came out monthly. Of course, it would be late, we would have a different artist for an arc so I'm okay with the current schedule but I'm like you, I can't wait for number 3.
  16. I thought 4 was the most exciting issue since 1. Great story developing.
  17. Yep, that was awesome! Yeah, man. The interaction between Chamberlain and the other three horseman was great as well. "Conquest? I'm a conquistador." Yeah, he was much more bold than I expected.
  18. I would compare the starting point of this story to episode IV from Star Wars in that there is as of yet untold history. We get a glimpse behind the curtain a little at a time. I don't want to say too much because I don't want to spoil it for those who haven't had a chance to read it yet. I believe it will come together in a way where we all go " oh, I see...", or " so that's why "...
  19. That was ice cold and I can't get enough of it. Yeah, man. So many. My favorite is from the first issue. "natural selection would have loved you". Beautifully brutal. That scene is forever memorable.
  20. That was ice cold and I can't get enough of it.
