  1. Midtown inventory is finally shrinking enough to change what they are selling number 1 for http://www.midtowncomics.com/store/dp.asp?PRID=East+Of+West+%231+1st+Ptg+%28_1246011 I thought they would never run out.
  2. You absolutely killed it. I don't know how Watson and Holmes will end up but your profit on Clone should be HUGE. Congrats !
  3. I found one figure of 55,000 for #98, but this seems low to me. I'd guess anywhere from 50,00-150,000. There were 2 distributors back then, Diamond and Capital and also newstand so I would guess, and its just a guess, in the 100,000 plus range. This was a hot comic back then.
  4. I can't believe Deadpool 1-69 brings $400- $500 while our dear buddy Wolverine 1-189 can be had in the $130 - $380 range. Now thats a bargain if you ask me. Which you didn't
  5. I ordered a few of these. I ordered a few also. I haven't picked up Archie in years until my daughter asked for the Glee crossover. Then I saw this and I thought Dawn of the Dead in Riverdale. Match made in hea...
  6. My guess would be supply and demand. There were so many copies of each issue printed in the 90s that it is difficult to find anything from Marvel, Dc, and Image that wasn't hugely overprinted. I still can't get over how much NM 98 brings. The artist was big at the time these came out so they were ordered heavily. Deadpool number 1 had a print run of over 112,000 issues which is pretty huge by today's standards. Hope that helps.
  7. This is one of my favorite books. I only have the trades now but I remember two very specific things about when the early issues were relatively new. The first is it was the first time I owned a Larry's Comics variant and the second is that this was an easier sell and brought more money on ebay than the Walking Dead. Its a great story full of unexpected stuff. I think you are lucky to be reading it for the first time now. Enjoy it.
  8. I've been married 22 plus years. In that time I've seen a few good chick flicks and because I love my wife, endured countless bad ones. That being said, I'm not looking for the chick comic Give me the Clint Eastwood of comics and I'm in. East (wood) of West fills the bill nicely. I can almost see Eastwood in his prime playing the role of Death stylistically as well as physically. This book rocks !
  9. You got me there. To me, this is a keeper so no way I'm selling all of them but yes, I also continue to buy these to remarket. There is something weird happenning with this book. We have three local shops here and they ordered light or didn't order these at all when they came out. Each of the shops has an empty spot on the shelf where these should be. I think they are missing the boat but I also think a lot of people ( locally anyway ) are not getting a chance to read this story. Midtown on the other hand has every issue available at cover or less. I wonder how this will play out in the long run. Some people might go back and get them but others may feel like that boat sailed and they missed it. Thoughts ?
  10. I'm collecting all. You can still get 3 at Midtown 1st and 2nd prints for less than cover.
  11. Van Wilder was great and I will never look at silk sheets and oil the same way again
  12. So Superman will laser eye everyone, while not being affected by bullets, punches, or energy blasts. And Batman will...........give him moral support and possibly a bagel sandwich?? from me as well... point certainly taken... But sure, it can be done. You're right that a villain that can be stopped with a brute force takedown alone isn't going to work, because Batman will look useless. So the writers have to be more thoughtful than that. Batman has to come off as a master strategist, whether against Superman or against some villain. Again, the Red Son and Injustice storylines show possible templates. Superman has problems with Lex Luthor, not exactly a physical powerhouse. I think Batman has at least brainpower, money, firepower and other resources that Luthor has. I think the movie will be awesome.
  13. That is one awesome sketch !!! Congrats
  14. Todd the Ugliest Kid and I believe I read Clone is TV in the last week.
  15. I absolutely love the Aussie Football League. I caught it on ESPN a few years back and I became a fan. You and Ken are going to have a blast. I wish they showed that here in the good old US a little more often. Righteous sport
  16. Too soon to tell. He hasn't made an appearance to get an opinion on yet.
  17. Best news we had all week. Great to hear from you and hear about your art. Congrats on the success of the book.
  18. Just two per issue. A story cover and a character cover. I like them. I think the art is fantasic. The solo covers kind of remind me of the old Serenity and Wanted covers and I liked both of those. Very memorable.
  19. It is one of the best moves you'll make all year. This book rocks.
  20. I just wanted to say I think it is fantastic that you give the personal touch on this site. You put out a really cool book and always keep us informed about the stuff that we wouldn't have access to otherwise. I appreciate it and I hope you have great success with this and any other title you put out.
