  1. ?? HOW are there TEN bids, and at $95 !!! LOOK at the condition!!!!!! did he actually say there are no creases in it?!?! look at the back!! I could wear that issue like a pair of corduroys. At least he didn't call it NM..... If this was on Craigslist, he'd call it MINT.
  2. I'm glad I popped in here when I did. What is considered THE more desirable issue for Damian Wayne's first appearance? Batman 655? 656? Son of the Demon?
  3. I'll be checking to see if my LCS is getting the Fiona Staples cover. I love her work.
  4. not for me...things have really picked up lately...50 percent better? Me either my problem is finding time to pack up sales and time to list more. Diversity..... I agree. I have thousands of comics to list on eBay but can't seem to get past the 1,300 mark. Not enough hours in the day..... I can usually handle about 5 in a day before I get bored and want to go do something else.
  5. Ooooooooohhhh, read that as "Marvel might be relaunching Infinity at #1", and thought you were making a joke. hhahahah, could you imagine?!?!?! http://icv2.com/articles/markets/26673.html What a joke. So I take it I should dump all of my Marvel Now titles before the All New #1s come out one year later? I guess this is Marvels new way of making $$$ - release #1s for everything each year. Are you kidding me? A book only makes it to issue 24 before they reboot the numbering again?
  6. The concept had been explored before revival with some similarities. Handling the Undead (Swedish: Hanteringen av odöda) is a 2005 horror novel by Swedish writer John Ajvide Lindqvist, translated into English in 2009. The book revolves around the unexplained reanimation of thousands of recently deceased people in Stockholm, Sweden. The plot focuses on the reactions of society and the many conflicts that arise between Swedish authorities and the relatives of the undead; the horror is less in the uncanny animation of corpses but in the realities of grief, loss and our own inevitable mortality. An important theme is the bond between parents and children.
  7. I like this one, too I think it's great, buy I see them sell for $2.00. It doesn't generate the same interest as 606, 607 and 601.
  8. Pretty flippant attitude. CGC needs to keep in mind that they don't create comics. They grade them and put them in a plastic shell. When half of the service you offer is compromised, you need to have a better response to customers than telling them to F O. It's especially bush league when they admit that they saw the error during the QC phase, and their response to the imperfect shells is to take a coffee break and go swim in their money bin like Scrooge McDuck. If I ever tried this in my business, a business where we have competition and customers have limitless options, we'd be out of business within the year.
  9. I had a good laugh seeing all the books that are bent in half. Reminds me of when I was 8, and buying comics at the grocery store.
  10. I may not have the cash for a book like this, but I'll give you a for the history lesson, and showing me a book I've never seen for sale before.
  11. OK, so I spent some time reviewing this process with my good friends at the Canada Customs office. The form you will need is an E15. Here is a link to it on the CBSA Website: PDF of Form E15 I was told that a lot of the fields do not apply to me, for the purpose of shipping items for evaluation. So just fill out what you can. Then a customs officer has to Stamp it and fill in some additional details on the form. When your product is coming back, it is best to note on the outside of the box, or customs paperwork "Canadian Goods Returned, E15 Attached" and then have a copy of the E15 in a pouch on the outside of the box. If they see that, he said they pretty much wave it right through. If you have the E15 inside the box, then they have to open the box and look for it.
  12. I'm going to ask my sister. She's part of the CBSA.
  13. Given the titles you bought, not surprised you were hesitant to go to that neighbourhood. Nice scores, though. All I ever find at the Flea Markets here are bent frisbees and bedazzled jeans.
  14. The run I went on tonight was pretty good. A lot of the books were water damaged, but there was an ASM 129 in there that made it all worth it.
  15. Is this because comic collecting is less prevalent there, or because England has less of a hoarding problem? Canadians seem to love filling their basements and garages with stuff.
  16. pics? Sure, will snap some pics when I get home tonight. I'm picking up another box after work, which the seller described as "There are 73 issues, dating from late 60's to early 70's....avengers, defenders, spider-man, fantastic four, thor, iron man to name a few." So fingers crossed that there is some treasure in there as well.
  17. Usually in a collection that big, you're bound to find some treasure if you have the patience. Way to go! (thumbs u
  18. Some guy was selling his Uncle's comic collection that he inherited, 50 cents a book. I picked up about 300 books in total. Lots of 70s Justice League, Batman, Detective Comics and Brave & The Bold. In the same lot, got a bunch of key issues too, in 8 - 9.4 Condition. Secret Wars #8, New Teen Titans #2, Wolverine #1, lots of Mcfarlane Spider-Mans, Dark Phoenix X-Men, Captain Marvels. Lots of good stuff.
  19. Purchased a CGC SS Book from Revat, and it arrived a couple days later. Excellent!
  20. Glad I have a warehouse attached to my office. An employee of one of the shipping companies, I forget which, told me not to write Fragile on a box. A lot of the people that work in the processing station are , and will mis-handle fragile packages intentionally. Also, it seems my postal carrier only ever bends mail that is marked "DO NOT BEND"
