  1. It looks like they're setting her up to be a villain. "Once you let the darkness in, you can't get it out." Or they're setting her up to be Black Canary. Which would be awful. She makes a horrid Black Canary. Ugh. Anyone notice that a future episode is called "The Man Under the Hood?" http://arrow.wikia.com/wiki/The_Man_Under_the_Hood Allegedly Marc Guggenheim has given us the riddle "Not all hoods are green" and "Seeing Red." This points to Red Hood but I wonder.....if, instead of the Jason Todd Red Hood, we are seeing Joker instead? He was the ORIGINAL Red Hood and they did drop a Harley Quinn Easter egg in there...... Thoughts? More than likely the red hood would belong to Red Arrow/Roy. Joker is 100% out of the question I think. It could also be the return of Merlyn.

  3. Next to this book, Justice League 51 is the second Zatanna key in my mind. Green Lantern 42 is her first full body cover appearance, but she's laying on the ground while Green Lantern punches some gnomes or something. Justice League 51, she's the central focus on the cover and looks very powerful. Not just laying on the floor.
  4. The speedy thing was neat, the way they explained it. When they first called Thea speedy, I was wondering how they were going to eventually transition it over to Roy.
  5. My "fondest" memory of image lateness was Deathmate Red. My memory is fuzzy, but I seem to remember it coming out way after the epilogue issue or something. I never did get it.
  6. I was talking to a guy this weekend who went to WW Portland, and said it was so Bush that even Adam Hughes was sitting there doing nothing at one point.
  7. Claimed. (Hopefully you watched the new episode of TWD last night) You planted that Rabbit on me. *Has Iceman Murdered by post apocalyptic hoodlums*
  8. cause of the movie I probably should have clarified my question. Yes, there is a movie, but the price spike seem to be too much. So, I was wondering, if the print run was also limited. After all, you didn't see X-Men 1 and Spider-man 1 of the 90's experience these dramatic price increase. There is a huge difference between the print runs of the 90s and the 2008 Version of the Guardians. It's also the first appearance of the Guardians team which is featured in the movie. I think there was some debate about that earlier, but regardless that's the main draw on this book,
  9. You should share! My original plan was to horde as many copies as possible. But I'll likely start selling my under copies to finance the purchase of a 9.6 or 9.8 if they ever become available for sale. Which Is a rare occurrence to be sure. Ya only 1/6 on the census. Would be crazy to see what the 9.8 sells for. I just choked on my drink when I saw your Avatar.
  10. PS: This is now my favorite thread.

  12. I have 8 copies so far. 1 Graded, 3 out for grading, 4 more still to be graded. If anyone has anything above a 9.0, let's talk.
  13. I think Guggenheim said in an interview they were going to eventually transition to Green Arrow. But I may be remembering incorrectly.
  14. JCS really gets the shaft on these boards, except by those selling. it's just funny that once his name is attached to a cover it turns into an instant $50+ book...even if the cover sucks. Sure he has done a few killer covers but ... for most of them. Its only his lady covers though. His non-sexy covers don't get much heat. There's plenty of covers he's done with Sexy Broads that you can get for cheap. Certain ones become really hot, some don't. Black Cat seems to be a key ingredient. That one Mary Jane cover is popular, but the other MJ ones he did can be found for cover, or slightly above, in a lot of cases. I thought the Black Widow one would be hotter than it ended up being.
  15. also, Tara Strong voiced Harley Yes, that picture is from last night's event. Then when I walked home, I went past some filming for the Flash. Vancouver was pumpin' last night, for once.
  16. Haven't watched it yet. I ended up spending last night seeing Neil Gaiman and his wife do an impromptu variety show. Astronaut Chris Hadfield even came out and played Space Oddity.
  17. I would hold at least till a TV show hits air. Considering how many comics have been optioned for TV and movies, I wouldn't be surprised if 80% of them never make it. Sometimes it's good to sell during the initial rush, since a lot of these books won't make it to TV. Then you're stuck with it. Very true, Iwould then ask what your ROI at this point would be compared wwith it not ever getting made. Did you invest $40 in a slab? You could break even if it doesn't make it. as an example, I bought a couple of DMZ #1s the day after news broke for $4 each. Sold one for $30 and one for $40. I'd rather take that, then sit on it for who knows how long in hopes that it makes it to the next step of development. There's so much that can go off the rails in TV development. The odds are even more astronomical if you're hoping that a show gets made, and that it becomes hugely successful as well. If they make 20 TV announcements a year, and you sell all 20 in that sweet spot right after a big announcement, you will probably make more than if you hang on to all 20 for too long hoping they all get produced and all become a hit.

  19. I knew this was going to play out like Ben and Billy, so it had almost no impact for me. I kept sitting there just waiting for it to happen. I got more out of Kimbo Slice forgiving Carol.

  22. I'm not worried about him being graceful. He always did a good job on Glee. Mind you, he was a complete on glee. It took some getting used to accepting him as a good guy.
  23. That flash filming is a couple blocks from my apartment. I see them Filming arrow all the time as well. I had no idea until today that an old friend of mine built the costumes for Deathstroke and Nyssa.
